June 18, 2010

Father's Day is a days away and if you are looking inspiration to create something special, here are a several sites to browse:

Twisted Papers - you can purchase and download some great vintage images for any theme. My favorite is the ADVERTISING images for a Father's Day Project. Just fun to look through, too. You'll want to bookmark this site for your holiday projects.

ETSY - I love just browsing through the different categories and seeing all the creativity out there. What people can make and create with their hands and imagination is awesome. If you ever need inspiration, check out ETSY. They had a good blog post the other day: Father's Day Craft Tutorial Round-up

Need something to write inside or a quotation for a craft project? Here's a site for the TOP 50 Dad Quotes.

If you are thinking about something to journal and scrapbook this weekend, this post, 9 Questions to Ask your Father(or answer if you are a Dad), is a good reference to help you get started. Have your kids ask the questions throughout the next couple days and share all the answers on Father's Day.

Walking Hand in Hand
Here's one of my favorite photos of my girls with their dad. MacSparky is a great father to our two daughters. He challenges them; teaches them compassion and courage; and he's always besides them to hold their hand through all their life adventures.

Celebrate with your favorite DAD(s) and make some great memories.

June Kit & New Designs

Gotta love these new Store Kits from Unity Stamp. They are both beautiful designs and can be used for many occasions. The two stamp sets below are only available through stores and cannot be purchased on the Unity Stamp Web site. They are made exclusively for stores. They were also designed by two different artists, Melody Ross & Heather Rolin. They can be purchased as one stamp set or a la carte.

Life Becoming

Quiet Essence

The next sets are simply fun. Designed for Unity Stamp by Donna Downey, these stamp designs are fabulous. I would love to make some cards with these stamps to send to friends "just because". Great for scrapbooking pages about you, your moms, and daughters, too. A good writing prompt to begin a summer journal of your own, don't you think?

Scor-Buddy has Arrived!
Scor Buddy Ad

From the people that created the Scor-Pal, the Scor-Buddy has arrived. This new COOL TOOL was created for the card-maker. It is small in size so it is portable enough to bring to your crops and workshops. Here is the SCOR-BUDDY placed against the Scor-Pal so you can see the actual size.

Scor Buddy 2
Scor-Pal Senior Designer Val Stangle
shared some of the following features in one of her blog entries:
  • It's 9-1/8"L x 7-3/8" W; actual score bed is 7" x 7" (6-5/8" is the last width score line)
  • Score lines every 1/4" across the board
  • 1/8" scores on both the left (1" total) and right sides (7/8" total) of the board
  • The 4-1/4" score line (A2 card) now has an asterisk icon for easy reference
  • The gate fold dots (2-1/8" and 6-3/8") are still there
  • Half of the brochure fold (inverted triangle) is there (to complete a brochure fold just rotate the paper and score)
You can view all of the Scor-Pal products in this section. Don't forget the awesome Scor-Tape, too. Scor-Tape come in a variety of sizes. You can tear what you need with your fingers; no scissors required. Scor-Tape is useful for adhering Sparkly Fluff, ribbons, micro beads, and strong enough for handmade boxes. Scor-Tape also comes in large widths and sheets so they are perfect to use with your die cut shapes.
