Speaking of Photography with Laura Noel
Wednesday, April 18 - 7:30-9PM in the APG Gallery
Join Laura Noel for a Q & A discussion about developing your photography into a portfolio or body of work. Laura will show an example of a body of her work, starting with the unedited and finishing with the final edit. Some questions for consideration:
- What constitutes a body of work?
- Am I ready to enter the APG Portfolio Show?
- What might jurors be looking for?
- What is the process and benefits of portfolio reviews?
- Can you give me advice on developing a personal style?
If you plan to attend and would like to submit a question for discussion, please e-mail Polly Barr prior to Wednesday evening. Open Q&A to follow as time allows.
Laura received her MFA in Photography from UGA in 2009, has had several solo exhibitions, participated in portfolio reviews in Atlanta, Houston and Paris and recently published her final edition in a series of four publications with Fall Line Press. Laura is currently teaching photography at Emory University. You can follow Laura's blog here. |

Work at Home Volunteer Opportunity
APG needs help with membership communications. We are seeking two or three individuals to work as a team in maintaining the membership database. Tasks include updating the database with new and renewing memberships, acknowledging new members, notify expiring members and correcting membership information. Experience with Microsoft XL spreadsheet preferred but not necessary for all tasks. Volunteers will be trained. Please contact Don Bryant for more information.
