About Us
Photo courtesy of Chip Simone APG's primary goal is to promote and support contemporary photography as a significant art form. It seeks to challenge photographic conventions, stimulate new thinking and exploration of experimental forms of photographic expression. These goals are supported through a wide range of activities that are overseen by a Board of Directors, an Advisory Board and a Curatorial Panel drawn from the Atlanta photographic community. The Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is an artist-initiated 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization. |

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
After a brief holiday pause, the newsletter is back up and running! As the new year rolls out, we hope everyone finds successful and rewarding avenues to express their creativity... particularly in the photographic sense! As always, APG aims to help out with another great year of opportunities through exhibitions, monthly meetings with critiques, films and workshops, and informative talks with professionals in the photography field.
If you haven't had a chance to see the Portfolio Show, make sure you stop by before January 20th, or check it out after the Julian Cox talk on Saturday! In the next month, be on the look out for upcoming call for entries, which can be found here in the newsletter, or on the website. And lastly, don't be a stranger! Drop us an email when you have good news to share -- published work, solo exhibitions, or awards and honors. There's a special section just for you in the newsletter!
Happy 2012... and may the force be with you!
