About Us
Photo courtesy of Chip Simone APG's primary goal is to promote and support contemporary photography as a significant art form. It seeks to challenge photographic conventions, stimulate new thinking and exploration of experimental forms of photographic expression. These goals are supported through a wide range of activities that are overseen by a Board of Directors, an Advisory Board and a Curatorial Panel drawn from the Atlanta photographic community. The Atlanta Photography Group (APG) is an artist-initiated 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization. |

JOIN THE APG 25TH ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE!
In 2012, Atlanta Photography Group will celebrate 25 years as a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization.
Many of our loyal members remember the early days of APG; spawning from Nexus, the meeting in homes and acquiring various gallery spaces.
Our legacy deserves to be presented and we need YOUR help over the next few months. Please consider joining the "APG 25th Anniversary Committee" which is forming now. We need volunteers to go through our paper archives, gather stories and photos, plan events, etc.
If you have photos or a story you would like to share, please gather them now. As the committee forms we can decide how this will come together.
Whether you have been an APG member for twenty-four and a half years or have recently joined, we need your help and hope you will choose to get involved during this historic time.
Please respond with interest to Polly Barr.
