Last week's headlining photographer was Kent Krugh. The image below can be seen in the "Portfolio Show," currently showing in the APG Gallery. Many thanks to Kent for letting us crop his photo in the previous newsletter!

A little bit about Kent.... "Kent Krugh is a lifelong photographer who lives in southern Ohio.  He is a medical physicist and by nature is inquisitive and experimental.  These two traits drive his fascination with the natural world and his eagerness to explore a variety of photographic techniques and styles. The motivation for much of his photography is spiritual: an attempt to reflect the beauty, mystery, and glory of creation.   His recent work in alternative photography includes a full spectrum, hybrid process utilizing high energy x-rays and visible light.  He has also exhibited works using the paladium over gold process. His work has been published in a number of gardening and horticultural books, magazines and journals.  He has exhibited his photographs at various local, regional, and national galleries."

You can see more of Kent's work on his website at www.kentkrugh.com.

Juror, Dr. Anthony Bannon

Director George Eastman House

"Finally, at the end of the day, this selection was about light. In particular, it is light in those moments of change - between day and night, between the presence and the absence, perhaps in and out of the shadow. The pictures in the Portfolio Exhibition often hold a good bit about what is meant by these things: by the shadow, this is, for better or for worst; by the disparity between what can be seen in the light and cannot be seen through the darkness; or by the expectation of all that is held within these instances of difference." Dr. Anthony Bannon
