Each year the American Council on Germany and the American Farm Bureau Federation select four Farm Bureau members to be part of an international agricultural study program. The American Council on Germany established the McCloy Fellowship in 1975 as part of a wider program to give promising young Americans and Germans in the fields of art, environmental affairs, journalism, urban affairs and agriculture an opportunity to broaden their professional experience and establish productive relationships with their transatlantic counterparts.
