Try the new and improved Ag Calendar
Ag Calendar

The Florida Ag Calendar has been upgraded to make it easier for all to use.  The biggest change is the shortcut to the Combined Calendar View.  Now, with just one click from the home page, you can find all events on all the calendars for any month.  Also, a Turf Calendar has been added to recognize this large portion of Florida's agriculture community.  Did you know you can import events from the Florida Ag Calendar directly to your Outlook Calendar?  Once you click on an event from the Florida Ag Calendar, simply click on "export event" and you can then save it directly to your calendar.  It helps keep you organized and it's a time saver. Please visit http://www.FloridaAgCalendar.com for more information.

Trent Willmon and TMP

Florida FFA, with the help of The Market Place, coordinated another successful fundraising concert hosting Nashville recording artist Trent Willmon at the 79th State FFA convention in Orlando.  In 2006 FFA replaced the long-time Thursday night dance with a concert.  Last year's artist Luke Bryan currently has a song on the Top 40 charts right now called "All My Friends Know" and also wrote the #1 song in the country "Good Directions and Turnip Greens".  This year's performer, Trent Willmon, signed autographs in the trade show for an hour before the show as well after the show and also hosted a special meet-and-greet for award winners and the FFA State Officers. An FFA Alumnus from Texas, Trent proudly wore his FFA jacket to the convention. Trent is the host of CMT's new show "America's Top Cowboy", has authored a recent cookbook called "Beer Man" and has a current hit titled "On Again Tonight."  Interested in doing a concert as a fundraiser? Call TMP for more details. Pictured above: Erin Freel Best and Trent Willmon. Visit Florida FFA Association for more information on FFA.

Florida FFA's Day of Service

On Tuesday, June 12, in an act of great compassion, hundreds of FFA students from across the state donated their time to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and the Greater Orlando Food Bank. By donating more than 350 hours of labor, the students processed, sorted and boxed more than 36,000 lbs of food. In addition, the students donated more than 5,549 lbs. of food to America's Second Harvest. This was Florida FFA's first state-wide service activity to be held during convention. To learn more about how you can get involed with America's Second Harvest, please visit http://www.secondharvest.org
