Greetings!
The theme for August is about the Lessons we learn from Imperfection & Failure. Here's a thought provoking little story, which I first read some years ago ...
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.
'I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.'
The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?'
'That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.'
'For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.'
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.
Also, JK Rowling's - author of the best-selling Harry Potter series - Commencement Speech at Harvard (Copyright JK Rowling 2008), delivered last month, was in perfect keeping with our theme for this month. Entitled "The Fringe Benefits of Failure, and the Importance of Imagination," it is deep, articulate and moving and I would strongly recommend it. Talking of promotional films, I have been up to the London College of Spirituality to talk about the forthcoming Lecture and Workshop (detailed below) and to demonstrate a Past Life Reading. During July we sent out the inaugural German version of Angela's Quarterly e-Newsletter (English version went out mid June) and featured some seasonal channellings from her newly completed Angel Almanac due for release this September. I have just returned from wonderful 10 days in Devon, were we enjoyed fantastic weather. The Past Lives Talk and Demonstration evening in Axminster was well received and a Reyad Sekh Em Level Three Course was offered for the first time in Morecambelake, near Bridport. As a result, Lyn and Graham Whiteman are now qualified to offer Advanced Reyad Seklh Em healings in the area.

JOANNA'S CELESTIAL FORECAST FOR AUGUST
August energy shifts (BST based time information = GMT +1)
The Pagan Lúnasa Dark Moon (New Moon) occurs at 11.35 BST (British Summer Time = GMT + 1) on Friday 1st August. For those wanting to try the New Moon Abundance Cheque Ritual see the end of the article. Lúnasa/Lammas is the Irish/Scottish name for the Pagan festival of the beginning of the harvest, technically on the 31st July, is also called Loaf-feast.
The period between this New Moon and the next one on Saturday 30th August is the period of the Hazel Moon. Hazel symbolises reconciliation, justice and truth. Hazel is a tree associated with healing and its 'coppiced' wood is used to make divining rods for discovering underground water sources and energy lines. Coppice is a practice whereby many British broad-leaved trees, including hazel, can be cut down to the stump. They re-grow producing multiple stems called poles, which can be harvested. In the case of hazel the poles are harvested approximately every 8 years, supplying a continuous renewable source of wood (very eco-friendly), and can be used round or split to make inter-woven fences, besom and broom handles. The wood is very supple and regularly coppiced the tree will last 1000 years!
The Full Moon is at 22.17 BST on Saturday 16th August.
Significant dates from ancient folklore:- Friday 1st August marks the Ancient Egyptian New year, following five Epagomenal days of celebration for the birthdays of their ancient major Deities. The Egyptian New year traditionally marked the start of the Nile flood, started by the tears of Aset (Isis) over the death of Asar (Osirus). The exact correlation of the Egyptian New year to the modern calendar is disputed, but I favour the linking with the heliacal rising of Sirius (dawn visibility of Sirius) as this star, known to the Egyptians as Sopdet (pronounced Soppday) was closely associated with Aset. 8th August '08 (8:8:8 in numerology) is The Lion's Gate. August 8th ( 8:8) has always been experienced as the Lions Gate doorway opening up a time portal to ancient Egyptian encodings situated between the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is said to be an energy doorway, which activates through the Solar Lion into the etheric and the Hall of Records (Akasha) and this year (8-8-8) it is associated with the marriage of matter and antimatter, where polarities meet and merge. Encrypted at sacred sites all over the world, but headquartered at Giza Egypt, these long-established data programmes, communicate with our own inner crystalline codes held in our DNA. By tuning in and connecting with these codings we may be able to access a portal ancient truths and wisdoms resulting in an accelerated spiritual awakening. Monday 18th August is the Egyptian Feast of Wagy. Taking place seventeen days after the Egyptian celebrations of New Year's day, there was the more sombre feast of Wagy, when families paid respect to their ancestors. They came to the tombs of the deceased, with offerings, performing rituals, specifically "fumigations" - producing fumes - smoke. The ceremonies were often followed by a funerary meal. Tuesday 19th August is the Festival of Tehuti (Thoth) marking the occasion on which Tehuti (Thoth) ordered the healing of the eye of Heru (Horus). Thursday 21st August is the Roman Festival of Consualia, to honour Consus, the god of counsel, and the one who protects the harvest which was in storage at the time of the festival. Mars, as a protector of the harvest, was also honoured on this day, as were the Lares, the household Gods that individual families held sacred. During the celebration horses, mules, and asses were exempted from all labour, and were led through the streets adorned with garlands and flowers. Chariot races were held this day in the Circus Maximus, which included an odd race in which chariots were pulled by mules. Planetary Events throughout August
The most notable event is 1st August with a total eclipse of the sun visible in the Canadian Arctic and north coast of Greenland. Observers in Canada, Europe and most of Asia will see the northern section of the sun obscured. In London, 13% of the sun will be hidden at 10.12 BST (09.12 GMT).
According to Marcus Mason and Sue Weaver (Heaven & Earth): Total Solar Eclipses have the potential to "re-programme" the Earth's energy grids for the area which they pass over. They can release negative patterns and archetypes that are stored in the Earth's subtle Etheric body, and imprint new archetypal patterns and potentials, as the north-south "Meridians" of the planets pass over the surface of the Earth - this is particularly significant when these planetary Meridians pass over Sacred Sites.
As it crosses the north Polar region this Eclipse will affect nearly half of the world's Energy Grid patterns that lie to the south of it, and most of the land masses, as it affects not only places directly underneath the Eclipse Umbra (Shadow) and Penumbra (areas of partial Eclipse), but all of the grid patterns lying to the south of it.
The only areas it will not directly affect are Alaska and some of western USA, Australia, eastern Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, eastern Russia and all of the Pacific basin. Everywhere else will get "re-programmed" by this profoundly significant Eclipse.
Marcus and Sue conclude: At this Eclipse, if we can really begin to let go of our personal desires and agendas, using our spiritual discernment to perceive and understand what are the real needs for ourselves, others and the planet, then we can truly begin to move towards a more compassionate and all-embracing awareness of how to become a global citizen, and live from a place of true compassion and Unconditional loving. At Full Moon, Saturday 16th August, there is a partial eclipse of the moon visible from Europe, Africa, Asia (exc NE), Australia and South America (exc NW). Most of the moon will go through Earth's main shadow. The partial eclipse begins at 20.36 on the 16th August (soon after moon rise in England and Wales), maximum eclipse is at 22.10 and the phase ends at 23.44.
n Saturday 23rd August the Moon is near the Pleiades, if you watch the moon rising, you may notice it amongst the cluster.
To end this energy shift section, here is an extract from a Kuthumi Channelling from Michelle Eloff, about energy Gateways in 2008: -
In August 2008 you will be embraced by all of the Lords and Ladies of Abundance and Manifestation, the Gods and Goddesses of Alchemy and the Angels and Archangels of Divine Love. It is a time when the entire planet will be embraced in a deeper level of Christ consciousness. The main celebration will be on the 8th of August. It is the 8:8:8 celebration and upon that day specifically the infinite power of divine abundance will be anchored within every major and minor chakra of Mother Earth's body, as well as every major and minor chakra of every human being's body.

It is also upon this day specifically that the God Horus, Lord Ra, Thoth and Akhenaten will bring a whole new vibration in the form of blessings that will enable Lightworkers of all walks of life to truly experience the blessings of alchemy, the blessings of abundance, wealth and love. In a way it will be the reward for all your hard work, your patience, your perseverance and for never giving into the fears of the poverty conscious ones.
On the 18th of August and on the 28th of August you will experience the next level of the 8:8:8's blessings, which will then complete itself. So remind yourself that August is the month of the major step into prosperity consciousness therefore take advantage of the time you have now and work with every aspect of poverty consciousness inside of you that sabotages your journey into prosperity consciousness. | 1-2-1 Reyad Sekh Em® Healing Sessions |

1½ - 2 hours (Cost weekdays £100, Evenings/weekends £150)
A session can be conducted in person or at a distance. A running commentary of the entire session is recorded onto a tape cassette for future reference. Joanna works at a level beyond the physical. There is no manipulation involved and you remain fully clothed.
The format of a 1-2-1 healing session unfolds through synchronicity; working along the body from head to feet, scanning and adjusting energies, which may feel similar to a Reiki-type energy healing session. Angelic energies, etheric crystal breathing, vocal tones and tuning forks are used intuitively. Part of this process may induce past life recall; anything that comes to mind will be detailed on the tape. The person being healed may experience the same and/or different past lives or have no recollection of this process.
A negative energy drain (negative energy being heavy stale energy, which is in the wrong place) is used on part or all of the body. A portal is used to return this energy to its own dimension. Generally, this energy drain system also releases any entities provided the host is ready to let go! This includes dissolving past life vows (such as poverty, chastity, silence, obedience) and breaking ties with past events and contacts as desired. Any etheric devices discovered may be removed before or after this drain as appropriate.

New Moon Ritual
Abundance cheques are a tool we can use to create more abundance in our lives. They are written within 24 hours after a New Moon.
Surprisingly, you don't need to believe that the cheque will work when you write it. Apparently, you will be amazed at the results, as you will see increased abundance in your life, in some life area. It is not always financial, but certainly in an area that you need.
There is a traditional manner, which has been handed down, that must be followed. If you do not have a bank account you can draw a cheque on a piece of paper and fill it out the same way - the results will be the same, more abundance for you.
New Moon: Friday 1st August (11.13 BST) & Saturday 30th August (20.58 BST)
1.) Within 24 hours after a New Moon, take a cheque from your cheque book. Where it says "Pay to," write your name.
2.) In the little box on the same line where you would fill in a UK Sterling amount write "Paid in full."
3.) On the line underneath your name, where you would write out a sterling amount in figures, write "Paid in full."
4.) Sign the cheque: "The Law of Abundance."
Do not put a date on the cheque. Do not write a specific amount in the cheque. Put it in a safe place and forget about it. The Universe will take it from there.
It is said that many people are sceptical about trying this until they do it. After the first time they realise the power of these cheques and do them routinely every month! Try it yourself and see! |
