Greetings!
As this is the month of Valentine's Day I thought Love would make a fitting theme for February. This includes Universal Love for all other living things and also Self-love which is so often overlooked.
I came across this the other day and felt it was an appropriate reminder for how we can bring more love into our lives:
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that was going on inside himself. He said, "My son, it is between two wolves.... One is evil: Anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other is good: Joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith". The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied: "The one I feed".
Hence I shall be endeavouring to feed all my positive loving thoughts. I may invoke the help of the angel Haniel (Guardian of Fridays and overseer of Love, Compassion & Beauty) and the Egyptian Deity Het-Hert (better known under the Greek name of Hathor) who was Patron of Love, Music and the Arts. Both Haniel and Het-Hert are associated with the planet Venus.
Please forgive the long introduction section as there is so much to say about this month's eclipses. See articles below (quick links from the top left 'In This Issue' column) for further details on the activities summarised in this section.
Last month, I included an article about an Abundance Cheque (Check to US readers) Ritual that can be carried out on the New Moon. I tried it myself (for the second month running, this time also writing abundance cheques on my business account and joint account). Amazingly, six of my Premium Bonds came up as winners and although they were all small amounts it was an unexpected windfall and one that wiped the smirk of my husband's face having declared the whole idea ridiculous. I think he might be trying it this month ...
Course Round-up
In Hilsea (near Portsmouth, Hampshire), there is a Reyad Sekh Em® Egyptian Healing introductory workshop with demonstrations on Sunday 10th February (£40).
There is an Etheric Encodement Course on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th February. This is deep material but totally fascinating and has enabled many people to move past deep spiritual blocks and reclaim their knowledge from previous lifetimes.

Worthy Causes
As usual, I have received notification of a number of worthy causes looking for e-support. Here's one you might like to support: -
I never thought I'd feel sorry for sharks, but apparently many shark species are in peril of extinction. Every year, tens of millions of sharks suffer slow painful deaths to supply the cruel and wasteful shark fin trade. The fins are used in dishes such as shark fin soup, which may be served by Chinese restaurants and during banquets, weddings and other events. The global shark fin trade approaches its annual peak during the Chinese New Year in February.

The month began with Imbolc (pronounced Immolk) which is on 1st February, one of the four Great Celtic Festivals, and which is a Wiccan and Druid Festival of Fertility and Growing Light. It is sacred to the Goddess Brigit or Bride, the power of the new moon, the Spring of the year, the flowing sea, corn dollies and the Great Moon Mother - Patroness of Poetry Making and Healing.
Look at what you want to achieve this year and ask Brigit's help in making it happen. This is the time of the northern winter solstice of the moon, a good time to celebrate the balance of solar and lunar energies especially as we have solar and lunar eclipses this month! Bless the earth to use for grounding later in the year.
The Imbolc Dark Moon occurs at 03.45 GMT (UK time is GMT at this time of the year) on Thursday 7th February (that is Wednesday night/Thursday morning).
The New Moon also sees in the Chinese New Year Celebrations with the Year of the Rat - a year which offers great hope, advancement and opportunity - commencing 7th February. In this year of the Earth Rat, we can embark on and accelerate projects that will make the changes we need. With planning, ingenuity and intelligence of the rat applied to our efforts, even risky projects will succeed; especially if striving for long-term well-being of the planet rather than purely for material wealth. Chinese New Year Celebrations continue until the Lantern Festival of the Full Moon on 21st February.

The period between this New Moon and the next one on 7th March, is the period of the Ash Moon. The Ash, which is sometimes known as the Venus of the Woods, is the tree of rebirth, healing and the sea. The wood was reputed to be able to rescue people from drowning so was used to make oars and coracles. Yoggdrasil, the Scandinavian Tree of the Universe, was an Ash.
6th February this year is Ash Wednesday, co-incidence? Probably not. Although Ash Wednesday is generally said to have been named after the tradition of burning away old issues in preparation for Lent, there was apparently another tradition of placing a stick of Ash down one's sock for good luck!
On 7th February there is also an annular Solar Eclipse at 18 ° Aquarius. An annular eclipse will be visible from a wide track, that traverses Antarctica and southern regions of the Pacific Ocean. A partial eclipse will be seen within the much larger path of the Moon's penumbral shadow, which includes the south-eastern third of Australia, all of New Zealand and most of Antarctica.
Astrologer Phoebe Forsythe explains that a solar eclipse, being closely associated with the sign of Leo, will generally emphasise matters ruled by the masculine energy of the sun, such as personal identity, vitality and power, individuality, authority and leaders, personal quests or goals, children, creativity and father figures. Bernadette Brady, the well-known eclipse expert, suggests that solar eclipses are usually involved with external events i.e. Situations that happen to you or around you. Health-wise, the sun rules the chest area and the heart, as well as the spine, so these areas may be highlighted or flare up during an eclipse.
14th February is of course St. Valentines's Day. One legend suggests that Valentine was a priest during the third century in Rome. Emperor Claudius II outlawed marriage as he believed that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families. Valentine, however, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages in secret. Claudius found out and ordered that he be put to death. February 14th is celebrated in his memory.
On 21st February there is a Total Lunar Eclipse at 2° Virgo. At full moon on the night of 20th/21st February, there is a total eclipse of the moon visible in Europe, West Africa and the Americas. Maximum eclipse visibility is at 03.26 on 21st February, plus Saturn and Regulus (the brightest star in Leo) may be easily visible on either side of the moon. The total phase lasts 44 minutes (03.04-03.48), the partial phase starts at 01.45 and finishes 05.07.
According to Phoebe Forsythe, astrologically, eclipses often mark a period of dramatic change. They act as catalysts, often forcing your hand, either through a process of forced elimination - taking away choices or options; or by means of acceleration - intensifying current circumstances or suddenly producing new ones which call for a different approach.
It has been associated with the endings and beginnings of relationships, a change in career direction, a redundancy, a new job, moving house, or surviving an accident or dramatic incident. It is also associated with sudden, unexpected events or surprises. Sometimes these may seem nasty at the time but, in hindsight, turn out to be blessings in disguise.
If you have been putting off changes, moves or decisions, eclipses will usually force matters to crisis point and you will no longer be able to drag your feet. However, if you are aware and take action, you can usually pre-empt the situation and do a bit of 'damage control'!
The important thing to remember is that an eclipse usually sets a theme for the six months that follow.
A lunar eclipse has to do with the moon, a traditionally feminine symbol. The moon rules motherhood, the home, family, our instinctive needs and reactions, day to day living and habits. The moon has a more subtle but no less powerful effect, as the tides of the sea will attest to. Just as with the sun, how strongly the moon figures in your chart, what angles it makes to other personal planets and which house it falls in will determine how the moon, and therefore lunar eclipses, will affect you. According to Bernadette Brady, lunar eclipses tend to be associated with internal events such as thoughts and feelings. The personal effect of an eclipse is influenced by your zodiac sign.
Another thing to bear in mind is the phase of the moon. A full moon usually brings things to culmination, boiling point or to an end, whilst a new moon traditionally heralds the start of new things. The issues they stress are therefore slightly different but often work hand in hand with each other - after all when one door closes, another has to open!
New York Astrologer Susan Miller offers a useful 9-point plan on the best way to handle the energy of an eclipse and also gives specifics on how the February eclipses will affect people from each zodiac sign.
5th March is the Ploiaphesia Egyptian Festival of Navigation. This was when one of the most important festivals of the Egyptian Goddess Isis was celebrated, the Ploiaphesia or Navigium Isidis (Ship of Isis). The festival marked the opening of the safe sailing season after the stormy weather of winter had passed. A statue of Isis was carried in procession from her temple down to the harbour, where a specially-built ship was moored.
The ship would then be loaded with offerings and dedicated to the Goddess, before being launched and carried out to sea by the wind. The festival is described by Apuleius in his Metamorphoses (also known as the Golden Ass). To participate you can enjoy the energy of water and celebrate with processions, lights, mirrors, music and flowers.

Reyad Sekh Em® is an ultra high vibrational Egyptian healing system which harnesses the angelic elemental healing rays of earth, air, fire, water and spirit with etheric crystalline energies plus sound vibration and sacred breathing.

| 1-2-1 Reyad Sekh Em® Healing Sessions |

1½ - 2 hours (Cost weekdays £100, Evenings/weekends £150)
A session can be conducted in person or at a distance. A running commentary of the entire session is recorded onto a tape cassette for future reference. Joanna works at a level beyond the physical. There is no manipulation involved and you remain fully clothed.
The format of a 1-2-1 healing session unfolds through synchronicity; working along the body from head to feet, scanning and adjusting energies, which may feel similar to a Reiki-type energy healing session. Angelic energies, etheric crystal breathing, vocal tones and tuning forks are used intuitively. Part of this process may induce past life recall; anything that comes to mind will be detailed on the tape. The person being healed may experience the same and/or different past lives or have no recollection of this process.
A negative energy drain (negative energy being heavy stale energy, which is in the wrong place) is used on part or all of the body. A portal is used to return this energy to its own dimension. Generally, this energy drain system also releases any entities provided the host is ready to let go! This includes dissolving past life vows (such as poverty, chastity, silence, obedience) and breaking ties with past events and contacts as desired. Any etheric devices discovered may be removed before or after this drain as appropriate.

New Moon Ritual
Abundance cheques are a tool we can use to create more abundance in our lives. They are written within 24 hours after a New Moon.
Surprisingly, you don't need to believe that the cheque will work when you write it. Apparently, you will be amazed at the results, as you will see increased abundance in your life, in some life area. It is not always financial, but certainly in an area that you need.
There is a traditional manner, which has been handed down, that must be followed. If you do not have a bank account you can draw a cheque on a piece of paper and fill it out the same way - the results will be the same, more abundance for you.
New Moon: Thursday 7th February
1.) Within 24 hours after a New Moon, take a cheque from your cheque book. Where it says "Pay to," write your name.
2.) In the little box on the same line where you would fill in a UK Sterling amount write "Paid in full."
3.) On the line underneath your name, where you would write out a sterling amount in figures, write "Paid in full."
4.) Sign the cheque: "The Law of Abundance."
Do not put a date on the cheque. Do not write a specific amount in the cheque. Put it in a safe place and forget about it. The Universe will take it from there.
It is said that many people are sceptical about trying this until they do it. After the first time they realise the power of these cheques and do them routinely every month! Try it yourself and see!
