We have been lucky enough to represent Bodega Noemia for the past 5 years. It is one of the truly magical wineries in the world, from one of the truly magical places in the world.
Our new releases of Noemia are the best yet (we will be releasing their Malbec 'A Lisa' next week), and we are proud to be able to offer Bogeda Noemia's top wine, the pre-phylloxera Malbec named after one of the winery's owners, Noemi Cinzano, who is a 50% partner with Hans Vinding-Diers (Hans is also the winemaker at Argiano, Noemi's estate in Montalcino).
The 2008 'Noemia' was recently called by Decanter Magazine 'one of the Icon wines of the new world", and I couldn't agree more. With Hans Vinding-Diers at the winemaking helm, Bodega Noemia has crafted one of the most artistic Malbecs I've had the pleasure of tasting. Full of tight black fruit, spice and herbal notes, the wine also presents a minerality and dusty earthiness that I've now come to associate with Patagonia.
I continue to be impressed with this property and the people behind it. Their whole range of wines is of unsurpassed quality, which include two other Malbec cuvees (named after family members as well) - 'A Lisa' and 'J Alberto', and Hans' Bordeaux-blend 'Due'.
This will be our only release of the 2008 'Noemia' this year, so don't miss this opportunity to own one of the icon wines of the new world.
