We need not elocute to you on each variety, and there exist many. yet all are one and connected through pain. The individual's pain carried forward to others. A disease transmitted through lack of knowledge of surrender. Yes, surrender, surrender of self to All That Is. The one who would not be controlled, is controlled, so to speak.
The person, we demur calling them "addict", the appendage perpetuates the inclination of that one. The individual so affected, the one in pain and of pain, extends to the world saying, "I will not surrender to my pain. I will not look at it or myself or the Light. I will control my destiny by denying my pain, subjugating it's hold on me through this choice of _____________", we say, fill in the appropriate blank here.
Please do not think we take this lightly. It pervades your culture, your minds and hearts, a rampant disease of such. And so, in the arrogance of this one who cannot look at themselves or their God but will only look away, there is this disorientation of the heart and mind, yet we will not say of the spirit.
The spirit remains unscathed though it seem not so. Please do remember this spirit/soul is intact, you must remember this and keep this foremost in your consciousness. You must hold this in light for the one so that they may remember.
This does not include enabling, only holding the memory for this one who cannot. We speak not here of methods of delivery from this self abuse which spreads as an infection to the lives of those close to such a one. There are many, any and all of them can and do work within the memory of who this one truly is.
So we are saying to all who ask the question of what to do....do what you can. Function informed, find the answers provided within your worldly context. Do not enable through compassion, yet hold compassionate memory of this one's light within your own.
We speak of this not to offer solutions one or many. The finding of these involves many levels of understanding for those involved. Each specific, so generalizations here to recovery will not apply. These are within the realm of worldly consideration. Yet they are connected in essence with what we speak of which must underly any interaction of assistance in any form.
It must be that you see them while they cannot as whole. You must keep the image vivid that they are not the physical form you see before you. The spirit, not decrepit within a misused body and mind. So difficult we know, we do understand your plight in these context. Yet we implore you to see the wholeness and continue to hold this vision.
They will not be fixed. Their unusual attempts at running from what they believe to be the undesirable control by others over them cannot be fixed, manipulated, transgressed by you. It cannot even be fixed by them, for then they remain a broken fixture to themselves, always "trying" to become whole.
No, we say they are whole, they are the spirit/soul first. This is what they will and must reconnect with. Their wholeness, their innate holiness, their oneness with all.
Hold this for them, do not waiver. We do not give assurances of recovery ,for that is individual choice and we can never choose ourselves to assault such concept as given. Yet we do assure that not miracles but possibilities are inherent here as everywhere else.
You must not attempt to inflict your choice upon another. You would find it strange, yet this
would be seen almost as unhealthy in some spheres, as what it is you seek to cure in another.
We say, do what you can, apply the principles as such exist for assistance through knowledge and information and resources. but do not inflict your choice upon another. The only answer for them is the choice of self-responsibility. Do not steal this from them. Most of all do not inflict your choice of seeing them as broken upon them. In order to see who they are for themselves, they may need to look in your eyes and see their reflection as whole. This the truth of who they are. Amen
