EXPECTATIONS: My Thoughts
Ave....I appreciate the opportunity to bring you
another additon of "Reflections", a collaborative effort
of myself and The Lightspeakers.
I often find myself, as many of you do, caught up in the distractions, worries and details of life. The merry- go-round of my daily activities becomes so all encompassing sometimes. Along with this, residing within my personality, lie my particular expectations, the ones that are vestiges of those fashioned by my family of choice, and the ones I've fashioned for myself. Yet, as I've experienced greater shifting, I have been more clearly sensing my soul's presence. As the realizations have penetrated personality and come to the surface, as the layers are removed, the remembrances speak to me of what is of real importance. I am thankful that though it may sometimes seem a bit late, that there is always enough time to "be".
The Lightspeakers
It is that we shall speak to you today of your
expectations, your expectations of yourselves and so
of others as well.
Do you dance to the rhythm of your own music or of another's, or the many that surround you. Are you overly influenced by what others hold for you as expectation, does this become your own? Or are your own for yourself rigid and uncompromising, expecting so much of yourself to feel the goodness of you? This surely becomes dissatisfaction with self, if your expectation level is so high that it is difficult to meet, Expectation is influenced muchly by your family of origin and their belief system. It is not of your own soul's issues. We speak of issues as that which issues forth from your soul, it's seeking here to expand in this worldly venue and so opportunites abound for this, yet this is not of expectations. The soul knows not of expectations, it knows of light, it is perfect, yet it is expanding. We ask that you question deliberately, if the end result of meeting these expectations are really the place where happiness lies. Can it be that your happiness may be found elsewhere, without the rigorous means of meeting overly high expectations, both your own and others for you of success. Who is it that you desire to be when you close your eyes? Now see that same identity without the addition of the accoutrements of expectation. The person that you feel the yearning pull to be, is of an inner nature, not an outer. Is this identity stable beneath the expectations of perhaps outward sucess and accomplishment? Is this picture of yourself still visible without the surroundings and aspects you have attached to it, which have become your expectations. We believe so, we say, there you stand, uncompromising in your own authority and greatness, with or definitely, without, the levels, expectation has created. Are you loving and loved only as you see yourself driving a particular car or dressed and bejeweled fashionably? Are you that which you envision as your soul's glory, only if your personality has achieved some notoriety, or attained perfection of sucess in the spiritual circles you inhabit? Are you bathed in the light of glory, only if you feel you have been of service, needing evidence of such to feel so? Even this, is your personality taking precedence, layering over your soul's innate beauty. See yourself loving and loved, exuding creative force and fully responsible for your own center, divested of power, privilege and performance. Only if you can "be", fully that which is All.... without these expectations, can you truly utilize the aspects of who you really are. Without the fullfillment of your expectations you are great, with them, you are great..... though not greater, nor grander.
We believe you play this game of bait and switch often with yourselves. If I have this, if I have that...I will feel complete. And so you become more and more vigorous in your pursuits, more and more disillusioned of the illusion. Find peace where you are, in acceptance of who you are, the inherent glory of you, enacting here, in this place you call life.... by your own choice. The decision to do this, in itself, qualifies you for greatness, though nothing else be achieved. How much you create here is not the name of the game. The goal was to simply show up! We think, perhaps some of your comics are wiser than your philosophers, as this has been said in seeming jest by one of those, but there is great wisdom within such words. The glory that you are is in being who you are fully, being the soul that inhabits the physical vehicle exhibitating a personality, to which you assign so much importance. Whatever, the personality achieves, remember, is nothing if it is not aligned with your soul's purpose. the soul's purpose is to shine. You may achieve whatever you desire here where you are, but do not desire it in order to be greater. Desire it, find it, accomplish it.... yet within, dear ones, lies the greatness of your being, in your beingness. And so we bring to you love of the Light, the beingness of who we are. Amen
