Join our hosts, legendary dancers Marge Champion and Gary Flannery for an energetic evening with costumed Ziegfeld re-creations and demonstrations of the Era's dance crazes by Jerry Mitchell and the Broadway Bares Company.
Special appearances by ATDF's Artistic Director Tony Waag and members of the Tap City Jr. Ensemble and the Tap City Youth Ensemble.

Writing on Tap

Hosted by Tony Waag, writing on Tap will feature award-winning tap experts and performers--including dancer-choreographer and educator Brenda Bufalino, dancer-choreographer Derick K. Grant, 2011 Bessie Award winner Michelle Dorrance, and tap historian Constance Valis Hill, Ph.D., author of Tap Dancing America, A Cultural History--for an afternoon exploring issues in the development and presentation of and critical writing about tap dance, an international phenomenon with roots in rich, ongoing cultural exchange.
Open to dance writers, dance artists, fans of tap and anyone who wants a better understanding of this dynamic art, Writing on Tap will offer a series of short talks on tap topics followed by small, moderated breakout groups for in-depth discussion of these presentations.
Admission: $10 (cash at door only)
