Tap Dance Conservatory

The ATDF's Tap Conservatory is a year-round school for tap dance with a comprehensive curriculum for kids, teens and adults (beginning level to the advanced professional). All classes are held at The American Tap Dance Center: 154 Christopher St. #2B, New York, NY 10014 (between Greenwich & Washington Streets). Please join us for the following programs!

Our growing year-round Adult Program offers rhythm tap training and enrichment for beginning through advanced professional tap dancers. Classes are ongoing!

Max Pollak teaches Rumba Tap/Body Percussion

  

April 9 & April 16

Max will focus on complex Afro-Cuban 6/8 polyrhythms as well as intricate body percussion patterns and narrative improvisation as evident in several pieces from the Rumba Tap repertory. At least one full piece will be taught.

 

 

Randy Skinner teaches Hollywood Tap in the style of Fred Astaire   

 

 

April 30, May 7 & 14

 

Each class will consist of technique and a tap combination influenced by the style and music of Broadway musicals and Hollywood films.
