Greetings!

The weather's been wonderful this month. While you've been busy checking your home out given the tough winter, we've been looking for ways to cut costs and deliver more service. A year ago we combined offices to keep costs down, and we're ready to take the next step.

Dennis Turmel
, Mr Handyman of North Essex County, will focus on field operations so we can visit more customers.

4 Walls Paint CouponTina Gleisner, My Handyman of Southern NH, will concentrate on marketing, with responsibility for the websites, newsletters and more.

We've got lots of good information this month, and you can learn a little more about Dennis and Tina on our blog site, which we'll be working on over the next few months.

When selling a home, your front door creates the first impression and we've got ideas for updating your door, and using your energy tax credit for this. Maybe you're yearning to spend more time outdoors? A patio door from your kitchen or family room brings welcome sunlight inside, plus an open invitation to venture into your back yard ... to barbeque a steak, work in the garden or romp with your dog.

We hope you enjoy this months tips on doors from the front door to a pet door, and in between. If you'd rather not take precious free time to tend to home maintenance chores like cleaning gutters, we're just a phone call away. We'll get your home in tip-top shape while you enjoy the great weather.

No matter how small or large your project, we can help. Call to schedule your springtime maintenance visit today.

We hope to hear from you,
Forward to a Friend

How Many Doors Does Your Home Have?
Exterior Doors: How Many Types?

Exterior doors play an important role in keeping the weather outside while providing access to your home for those you invite to enter. In fact the concept of doors for safety and access has a long history. Today we look to government to protect our country's border and safety is a factor when selecting the town where we live. We no longer need moats or drawbridges, yet we still decide among the few uninvited guests, who we'll chat with briefly and not let into our home, while others will be invited after we gain a degree of trust.

Can you name all the doors your home has? Learn more.

What is Curb Appeal ... Exactly?

Sometimes we use terminology common to our industry but not well understood by others. Curb appeal is most commonly used by realtors to refer to the  first impression a home makes from the road or driveway, an appearance that says your home is clean and well maintained, that motivates a prospective buyer to study your house  more closely. Learn how you can give your home more curb appeal.

We Have a New Dog ... Now What???

Adding a pet brings new challenges to getting, and staying organized around the house. Mr Handyman is used to handling almost any type of request for normal home maintenance and repairs. We also get some unusual requests to assemble furniture, beds and skate ramps and some requests have to do with installing pet doors and building / expanding outdoor runs. Get tips on living with pets.

Spring Tips for Landscaping

It's springtime! It's warming up and not too hot, so the time is right to get out and enjoy the work you like doing in the yard.  The snow and winter storms may be over but there's lots of debris around the yard, and nothing looks as good as it did last summer. Don't despair ... it's the same every year and with a little work, your lawn and gardens will return. If you're not wild about gardening, you might want to hire someone else to take care of your garden or lawn maintenance. Read our checklist.

Invest Your Tax Return Wisely

We appreciate your business and enjoy being more than your average handyman!
