I'm sure you're busy getting ready for the holidays, figuring out who's hosting meals and who will travel. Our family is growing with our son's wedding this fall, so we have lots of activities planned.

Many of us try to complete home projects before guests arrive. It would be nice to start off the New Year with nothing on your "Honey Do" list or ... maybe you'll wrap the bathroom update with a bow and put it under the tree for someone special? Holidays are meant for slowing down (me?), reconnecting with family and creating new memories like making gingerbread houses?

We hope our newsletter has one or more ideas that will help make this a more enjoyable holiday for you. Last year my son in the Navy said not to send him a Gingerbread house kit ... but when I wrote my article and remembered the last 15+ years, I decided I just had to send one.

Wishing Happy Holidays to you and yours, may the New Year bring you all you desire!

This time of year is also important for empty nesters as it's the one time a year when all the kids some home at the same time. Get ideas for green decorating.
