| CBP's Email Requirements Take Effect July 1
For those of our customers choosing to file their own bond documents (new bonds, termination notices, riders, etc.) with CBP's Bond Team, please remember to label your email subject lines with the new naming conventions starting July 1. We have already implemented this protocol for clients' submissions filed by Roanoke Trade Bond Service Representatives.
CBP is expanding its current list of 4 subject lines to 13 in order to process submissions in a more efficient and expeditious manner. All emails submitted to CBP on or after July 1 must start with one of the following naming conventions (followed by the IR #), or risk a potential delay in processing.
Also, CBP has a file attachment limit of 10MB. For any emails containing attachments greater than 10MB, the email should be sent in multiple emails. Add to the end of the email subject line, "1 of 2", "2 of 2", etc.
When submitting multiple bonds for the same principal(s), add the activity code to the end of subject line, such as "ACT 1", "ACT 2", etc.
Please contact your Roanoke Trade Bond Service Representative with any questions. We are dedicated to partnering with you on the management of your bonds, insurance and Carnets.
Sincerely,
