Beginning Tuesday, December 20, continuous bonds issued from FastBond™ will appear in the new CBP-mandated bond format. STBs will go live shortly. Currently, CBP will accept either the new or old bond form, but effective January 1, 2012 only the new CBP Form 301 will be accepted.
As part of the new format, Customs has created CBP Form 301A, Addendum to CBP Form 301,to be used for continuous bonds with more than two co-principals. Roanoke Trade has also automated this new form in FastBond™ for its users.
We highly recommend using FastBond™ and contacting us to get a laser-printed single transaction bond programmed into your ABI software. The new bond form is two pages long, which will make manual issuance even more cumbersome. FourSoft, IES, Kewill and Xtheta already have AAIC (Surety code 036) integrated into their ABI systems. To learn more about integrating a laser single transaction bond into your ABI system, please contact Jennifer Rome at 800-762-6653, or email fastbond@roanoketrade.com.
For those who still wish to issue bonds manually, paper bond supplies will be mailed to our clients during the week of December 19; or contact your Roanoke Trade bond service representative if you need a supply.
