Clarification on STB Filing Procedures for ACE Portal Accounts
On March 3, 2010 we sent our clients an email regarding new ACE Portal Account STB filing procedures. It stated that all STBs filed through ACE should be emailed to ACE_STB@cbp.dhs.gov. However, the Revenue Division has been receiving emailed STB submissions for non-ACE transmissions. Please note that they do not want you to email STBs for non-ACE transmissions to the Revenue Division; non-ACE transmissions still require you to submit the paper STB to the local port. |
Bond Reporting FastBondTM eliminates the need to report your bonds to Roanoke Trade because the data is automatically captured. Please remember to report any bonds not issued in FastBondTM in some other manner. If you have questions on how to make the reporting process easier, contact your Roanoke Trade bond service representative as we have several easy options from which to choose. |
Bond Sufficiency Program
Sign up to receive automatic email notification from Roanoke Trade when your importers have reached 90% saturation on their continuous import bonds (i.e., $450,000 duties, taxes & fees for a $50,000 bond). Notification is sent out weekly. Only two notices generate per principal, per bond period - the first generates at 90% sufficiency; the second generates at 100% sufficiency. FastBondTM - Principal Maintenance Screen Updates
When adding a new principal, the country must now be selected before the state/province. This new order of fields allows FastBondTM to display Mexican States, Canadian Provinces or US States in the state drop-down menu, depending on which country is selected. For all other countries, "FN" (for foreign) will display in the state drop-down menu.
If you have an existing Mexican principal, you must edit the principal and add the Mexican state before its bond (s) can be printed.
Users will be reminded of underwriting authority for foreign principals upon saving a new foreign principal to FastBondTM.
In addition, users may now select either Country or State/Province for either corporation or LLC business types. (i.e., For Canadian principals, a company's business type may read, "A Canada corporation" or "A Corporation".) Users may still select "Foreign" from the corporation or LLC business types - this option is available at the bottom of the drop-down lists.
