Our arduous efforts have finally borne fruit. We've been recognized with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level (ML) 3 (version 1.2 Dev) from the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (CMSEI), U.S.A.
Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement approach that can guide in improving organizational functions, setting improvement goals and in the standardization of quality processes. Our CMMI process began about year and a half ago. The Management formed the SEPG (Software Engineering Process Group) team under the leadership of Ms. Kalai Selvi Vijayakumar, the Senior Technical Manager of DCI. The SEPG team prepared the "MyQMS" for the company in accordance with CMMI standards. Then, the team educated and trained the entire organization on how to implement and improve quality in client projects.
The final appraisal by KPMG happened in January 2011 and projects in Software Development, Web Application Development and Enterprise Application Development from Chennai and Madurai developmental centers were involved in the process. After the final audit, the company has been appraised with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level (ML) 3 (version 1.2 Dev). This recognition puts DCI on a global map, on par with the elite league of CMMI corporates around the world.
