ACT NOW!

toucan
Connecticut's only zoo has been approved for a $150,000 Neighborhood Assistance Act grant.  But in order to receive it, we need your help and we need it soon!

The grant allows Connecticut "C" Corporations to donate to Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo and receive a 100% tax credit when the donation is used to support energy conservation projects.

Our energy conservation project
We are replacing and upgrading the roof on our Rainforest building to an energy-efficient "green roof" this year.  The roof replacement may include the design and construction of a "living roof," incorporating such energy efficient and eco-friendly features as a rooftop garden, solar panels, and cisterns for water conservation and storm water runoff prevention.  Learn more about our green / living roof project here.

How can you help?
Any C Corporation may donate by filling out Form NAA-02.  The donated amount must be more than $250 and no more than $150,000.  Form NAA-02 must have an original signature and be mailed or hand-delivered to the Department of Revenue Services
on or after September 15 but no later than October 1, 2012.  Facsimiles or e-mailed applications are not accepted.

This short window of time is the reason for the urgency!

As a friend of Connecticut's only zoo, will you share this opportunity with your company's leadership*? (* Company must be a C Corporation.)

Thank you in advance for your help!
