Year end. Seasons
have finally changed. Nights are colder and the days short. We feel
the call to turn inward to the fire, family and friends.
Symbolically this is a time of
growing consciousness and a powerful opportunity to set intentions in
our lives. Our yoga practice, our sadhana, is a doorway into our inner
life and to the dreams we want to manifest in the new year. As we pass
through
the longest night of the year and the winter solstice, we remember that
the new light of the year will shine brightly on the these growing
seeds of our ever expanding intentional life.
We can mark this transition with conscious reflection,
heart intentions and joyful celebration.
In
this time of relative darkness and economic uncertainty, we can
celebrate our good
fortune and true abundance by sharing our love with others through the
ritual of giving from our hearts as an expression of gratitude.
We are committed to building community and to supporting the
development of real, lasting peace, harmony and consciousness in our
lives and in our world. We are always tremendously touched and
grateful that so many of you have joined us on this journey. Your
practice on the mat, your smiles, your growing families, and the moving
comments we hear from you about your experience, are all a gift to us.
We thank you from our heart for helping us to build this beautiful,
sacred community at Rising Lotus.
To mark these transitions, celebrate the Solstice on Friday 12/19 in KIRTAN! with Daniel and friends rocking the bhakti....Join us for class at 10:30 am on Christmas day and to celebrate the New Year and the transition and transformation it brings, join Claire for an intentional practice on New Years Eve day @ 9:00 am ,and Join Daniel on January 1, New Years Day @ 12:15 pm, for an intentional class to begin your year with an open the heart! Join Daniel on Friday December 19 for a joyful evening of musical mediation and chanting to celebrate the Winter Solstice. He'll be teaching Solstice
Flow yoga at 6:30 pm, followed by KIRTAN with Larry, Sarah, Sylvie, Abby and gang.
Come to the class or the Kirtan or join us for both! We'll set
our intentions, and open our hearts as we sing the many names of the

Take the Rising Lotus 30 and 100 YOGA Challenge

Many spiritual paths have a traditional period of contemplation and recommitment to practice as a community. The idea of the Rising Lotus Yoga Challenge is to explore commitment, consistency, curiosity, connection, community and transformation.
The transformative power of yoga is available to all of us, but only when we make a commitment of time and consistency. What would we discover if we showed up for ourselveses, period! What would happen if we all did that together for 30 days? What would happen if we commit during the entire first 100 days of the our new Presidents 100 days in office? What if our consciousness was dedicated to supporting the change unity possible as our leadership changes! What transformation would we experieince in our body and mind.. in our daily lives? Wah!
Join the Rising Lotus sangha for a 30 or 100 day yoga Challenge. Beginning January 20th, commit to 30 days of Yoga or, follow Obama's first 100 days in office with the 100 day challenge and be part of the powerful transformation and conscious change manifesting in our country and the world.

Core Integration is a Yoga based workshop specifically addressing
issues lodged deep inside your core, not only physical, but also
emotional and spiritual. Unlock the power of your center and reconnect
to the stories buried within.
This series of extraordinarily deep abdominal exercises strengthens
you from inside out and is designed to penetrate weak muscle fibers,
awaken sluggish organs, stretch scar tissue, and cultivate vibrancy
throughout your nervous system. The class intelligently presents a vast
array of abdominopelvic exercises reconnecting you to your belly in a
thoroughly conscious way.
Core Integration significantly enhances your Yoga practice,
noticeably sharpening the quality of your inversions and backbends. It
is a safe and transformative class for those dealing with specific core
injuries and is a challenge for all levels- from newcomers to teachers.
You will leave class rooted in the radiant support of your integrated
core.
Workshop Guidelines:
· Please inform Jill ahead of time if you have a specific injury
· Do not eat 3 hours prior to class
· Bring a small hand towel
· Not appropriate during pregnancy

Intro to Yoga Workshop

Learn the basics of yoga in a comfortable, nurturing environment.

Rising Lotus is a beautiful neighborhood studio with easy access and
parking. We'll study the poses and breath technique with a focus on
healthy alignment for the individual student. Students will receive 1
free class and a 20% discount is offered off any class package to those
who are new students.
Hatha Yoga is a meditative physical practice that blends movement
and breath. The practice combines strength and flexibility while
helping to pinpoint and correct weaknesses and imbalance in the body.
The meditative focus on breath calms the mind and the nervous system
for extremely effective stress reduction and increased overall health
and well being. Yoga is a great long- term practice that heals and
prevents injuries and fosters an over all healthy body, mind.
This series is appropriate for anyone new to yoga as well as
beginning students who want to refine the basics of their practice. $30
in advance $35 at the door. |
