 | Flowers that can handle the heat
What flowers stand up best to hot weather for outside summer weddings? Most flowers (with the exception of Gardenias) can handle a brief time in the heat. Make sure they are stored properly and kept cool until just before the ceremony!

 | How to get group rates for out-of-town guests
| |
Question: I've got several out of town guests coming to the wedding. How do I get a group rate?
Answer: Hotels love wedding parties! According to my professionals at Sandia Resort, at the time of booking, you should ask a venue if they offer special rates for the wedding family and friends. Most sites will offer a group discount if there are 10 or more guest rooms needed on 1 night. Be aware of contractual obligations, however - some sites may require that you be responsible to pay for any of the guest rooms that are blocked but not used. Sandia Resort does not make you do this. See how much stress we can help relieve you of?

 | Cake Toppers
 | |
For the cake topper, it's totally a fun and personal choice, however, start by considering the overall wedding décor theme. Wedding cake toppers are no longer just decorations for the day. Most modern wedding cake toppers are made of crystal, porcelain, metal, glass or acrylic for maximum life and maximum beauty. Speaking of beauty, I'd have a George Clooney groom in a classic black tuxedo for a cake topper!

 | Sunday Weddings
| |
It is often less expensive to get married on Sunday, for example, instead of Saturday. Saturday's are the highest demand day for weddings so most reception sites will offer a discount on Sundays. Another perk, you might find it easier to book your desired wedding professionals for a Sunday event.
