Industry Update

Important Product Notice when Changing Out Pump Impellers:  Hub Impeller Diameter

When converting pumps from one shell or impeller to another, be sure to check the impeller hub diameter versus the shell hub inside diameter to make sure that the parts will fit together.

When interchanging parts always have GIW engineering verify that the diameters match up and eliminate any potential fit issues for the customer.

Click on the drawings below for a typical example. The problem is easily solved prior to shipping by alerting the plant to machine the hub diameter to match the shell.

Notice:  Possible hub and shell diameter mismatch when converting pumps from one shell or impeller to another.
