Active Healthy Kids Report

We all know the importance of being active, but according to the annual report card from Active Healthy Kids Canada, only 7% of children and youth in Canada are meeting Canada's guideline of 60 minutes of physical activity a day!

Nature and Outdoor play is included in the report, but no grade was given as there was not enough research available for a grade.

The Great Canadian Turtle Race

Did you know we have Leatherback Sea Turtles in Canada? They spend part of the year off the coast of Nova Scotia and then migrate south to tropical areas for nesting.

This summer the Canadian Wildlife Federation and the Canadian Sea Turtle Network are tagging turtles and inviting students from across Canada to follow the turtles' migration journey using satellite technology.

When you register, you will get access to the satellite data and be able to follow a turtle in real-time! Find out more here: www.cwf-fcf.org/en/action/awareness/great-canadian-turtle-race/
