We had a great response to our annual survey of environmental educators. 187 teachers and 74 agency professionals filled out a survey.

The results will be summarized and ready to share in the April newsletter.

 

Outdoor Leadership Courses  

The Outdoor Council is developing certification courses to help train and certify people to become effective leaders in outdoor settings.

These two day courses provide valuable decision making and leadership skills for anyone who leads groups outdoors. Learn more about the program.

This United Nations coordinated event has the theme this year is Water and Food Security.
 

Great Program from the Kerry Wood Nature Centre

The Kerry Wood Nature Centre and the Central Alberta Refugee Effort (C.A.R.E.) are heading off for a winter, overnight excursion to the Nordegg area. What is important about this particular trip is that all the participants are new-to-Canada residents of Central Alberta.

Alberta Non-Profit Sector Survey      

Are you a non- profit in Alberta? If yes, please take 10-15 minutes to fill out this  survey being adminsitered by the Calgary Chamber for Voluntary Orgainzations.

The survey aims to take a snapshot of the health and experience of organizations across the province. The results of past surveys have contributed to a deeper understanding of the sector and have been used to inform decision-making of nonprofit leaders and boards, governments, funders and community stakeholders.
