Energy and Climate Change Resources
Winter is a great time to tackle these topics in our centrally heated, comfortable classrooms! Here are some great resources we have come across this month:
- Cool 2.0 - GreenLearning in partnership with TakingITGlobal just released an exciting hub for teachers and students. There is a searchable database of climate change resources, a teacher discussion board, and you can create on-line spaces for your students to work together and with other classes.
- Gener8 - Inside Education with the City of Edmonton is hosting an energy literacy youth conference for high school students. The deadline for applications is February 10.
- WWF National Sweater Day, February 9 - This initiative (very clever Granny campaign!) encourages Canadians to turn down the heat and turn up the sweater! There are resources listed at the bottom of the page.
- CAMEL - This site focuses on resources for teaching about climate change at the post secondary level so it would be appropriate for some high school classes.
