June 15 is Nature Play Day in Canada.  

 

Register your event no matter what the size! Crimson Lake Provincial Park is celebrating Nature Play Day with free interpretive programming, geocaching, scavenger hunts and a marshmallow roast. They have registered their event here.    

 

Outdoor Time Recognized 

Active Healthy Kids Canada Report 2011 was released in April and for first time has a section on Nature and Outdoor Time. See page 52 of the report for a full summary.

Conference - Engaging Students in the Outdoors

The GEOEC and the Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre in Calgary are hosting a one day conference October 1. The theme is Engaging Students in the Outdoors.
