Retirement Note - Jerry Brunen
"There was a time when wetlands were considered wastelands and 'watersheds', 'stewardship', 'environmental education' and 'riparian' were terms that no one used or understood. Now, ducks are cool, wetlands are being fought over and these terms are common lexicon for many Canadians. It makes you wonder what the next 30 years will bring. For many of us, challenges are often greeted as opportunities and if that mindset continues, the future of conservation will be great."
Jerry Brunen has retired from Ducks Unlimited. Thank you Jerry for your passion and work on wetland conservation and education. Jerry says he is 'switching gears' and will still be involved with conservation and education, we look forward to hearing more!
