These are a few unique wines in stock to keep in mind for the holidays.

Left Coast Cali's Cuvee PN 08 - 18.97 - Bigger, but opens up into a graceful, dark blue fruit, forest floor, voluptuous beauty. Yes, really. Paternina Banda Rosa 09 - 12.57 - Dry, with bright red fruit flavors. Garnacha comes through as fresh plum, balanced sugars. Mapema SB Mendoza 11 - 13.57 - Juicy citrusy fruits in a little more full and rich style, with some deeper honeydew and cooked herb notes. Mocavero Chardonnay 09 - 14.57 - Undervalued in Puglia, showing nice phenolics, peach, citrus, sappy acidity. Salento peninsula. Cavagnaro Malbec 05 - 16.57 - Showing great - no reserve this vintage, so it gets all the great fruit. Plum, vanilla, showing very well now. Taburno Aglianico 08 - 18.57 - A friendly version, fermented in stainless and aged in large oak casks and used French barriques. Campania. Tariquet C-d-Gascogne 2010 - 9.97 - Bright & mineral with lemon & pear fruit, white floral & almond note. Clean, great aperitif. Bargain. Ken Forrester Petite Cab-Merlot 08 - 9.97 - Ripe, with a bit of pepper, smoky, with soft fruit & ripe tannins. Chocolate hint, structure. Masi Tupungato Rosso Doble 09 - 13.97 - Malbec & raisin Corvina - brambly herby fruit, with bright acid, deep cherry pie, double ferment. Luccarelli Primitivo 2010 - 13.57 - Black, earthy fruit from 80 yr vines, modern style, with dried fruit on the finish, warmth of Puglia. Pares Balta Mas Petit 09 - 13.57 - Organic. Cabernet - Garnatxa. Currant, blood orange, with plenty of acid and mineral backbone. Cranberry. Ken Forrester SB 2010- 14.57 - Flinty, with a dry finish. Tropical citrus and grassy nose, lengthy tropical fruit finish, cool Stellenbosch wine. Mocavero Primitivo 07- 17.57 - Puglia, from Primitivo, fermented in stainless steel. This is a new vintage, deep, rich, earthy. We like it! Simonnet-Febvre Cremant Bourgogne Rose- 18.97 - Pinot Noir, whole cluster, stainless. Peach, nectarine, bready, creamy mousse. Lovely.

NV Gran Pasion Brut
Peach sherbet characteristics are a peachy match for Fried fish & sweet fried plantains. Sold out at the tasting for Christmas Eve last year, so now we have a stack of it. Jose Maria Manzanares Palarea demonstrates passion and desire through beautiful wines that pay homage to the past, and are beloved by wine lovers today. Brut sparkling wine perfect for apertif or anytime. tasty, balanced, and elegant. Uses all three of the Penedes grapes - Parellada, Xarell-o, and Macabeo (Viura). Light citrus & mineral backbone.

2004 Canals & Munne Insuperable Brut Gran Reserva
40% Macabeu, 30% Xarel·lo and 30% Parellada. In the light of its ageing, this Cava is excellent value for money. 25 months. Brut (Reserva). Pale yellow in color, with fine bubbles forming multiple strings of pearls and persistent rings on the glass. Pleasantly fresh, floral and varietal aroma. Brut: Aperitifs, smoked meats, Iberian cured meats, green salads, vegetables, fish, poultry and desserts. The rich, mouth-filling Insuperable Brut Reserva is one of the better Cavas we've tasted - it has been on the lees for 25 months. It shows light honey biscuit aromas on the nose and offers a fine mousse and clean palate of brioche, citrus, and almond flavors. Great value!

Canals & Munne Gran Reserva Cava Rose
75% Monastrell and 25% Garnatxa. Due to its medium range ageing, this cava is classified as Reserva. 35 months. Brut - Pale cherry robe with subtle hues of rose petal. Fresh in taste, with a long gustatory sensation and aromatic hints of strawberry and wild red berries from the forests of the Penedès area. Brut: Aperitifs, smoked meats, Iberian cured meats, paella, squid ink rice, salt cod, Japanese cuisine and desserts.

2010 Seis Circles Red
This red wine has been created from a unique blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Syrah grapes, Harvested from age-old vines in high-altitude vineyards due south of the Pyrenees. Combined with a dry Mediterranean climate, long hours of sunshine, stony soils and a privileged location in northern Spain, all the essential ingredients have been found for wines full of character and quality. The result is an intensely fruity, smooth and full-bodied wine, typified by aromas of blackberries, blueberries and cassis, and with a slightly peppery finish. This wine is soft enough to be enjoyed on its own, but also makes an ideal accompaniment to red meat and other hearty food. 50% Tempranillo, 40% Grenache, 10% Syrah.
