Too much turkey.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope everyone had a glorious Turkey Day!  Following the great turnout we had for our Wednesday night tasting, our Friday evening tradition continues.  Get ready for the biggest shopping weekend of the year, or take a break from it; whatever your shopping habits, fun will be had at East End Wines! We welcome Otra Copa with a few wines from Slovenia and Croatia, plus La Cigale will be here showing some of our new favorite French selections.  See you there!

Friday Night Tasting Lineup

Otra Copa Wines

2008 Pullus Laski Riesling

(Slovenia) Dry. Quite dry. Zippy, North Eastern, cold winters, 5-6 months. Piercing. Like it. Native yeasts, stainless. Welschriesling, Olaszrizling, not related to the Riesling. In English, the wine is usually referred to as Italian Riesling to distinguish it from the "real" Riesling, that is, the White Riesling.  Distinct linden flower scent.

Our Price: 15.97

2009 Pullus Pinot Noir

(Slovenia) 1 yr Slovenian oak (more mild). Earth & cherry skin on the nose. Not so fruity. Very earthy, mineral palate. Cool stuff. Warm, inviting aroma of cooked fruit with a trace of earthiness. Medium-light body, light structure. Flavor starts out mild but grows in intensity, with strawberry notes.

Our Price: 15.97

2008 Lirica Plavac Mali

(Croatia) Lirica delivers vibrant aromas of sun-ripened fruit, fresh cherries, cloves and cinnamon. Its high acidity and ample tannin make this an earthy, rustic, unoaked wine. Earthy on the nose with aromas of sun-dried hay, foliage and a high toned black cherry note. Significant aeration softens grassy aromas to reveal a red berry palate marked with bright acidity, but the finish is aggressive with rough, gripping tannins.

Our Price: 18.97
