Wednesday Night Tasting Lineup

1.5 L Il Cavaliere Pinot Grigio 09

Friuli-Venezia Giulia - "Showing ample freshness with delicate perfumes on the nose and notes of ample fruit especially melon and pear along with hints of honey. Moderate acidity. Leaves a nice impression on the palate with smooth texture with almost silky-like overtones."

Our Price: 11.57

Mont Tauch Grenache Blanc Garrigues 09

Vin de Pays du Torgan - Languedoc-Roussillon. 88 Wine Spectator... "tropical and white fruit notes, lead by ripe peach, guava and mango. Lush, spicy finish features plenty of vanilla and cream. Drink now thru 2014. Commended by Decanter World Wine Awards 2010. Mineral & rich. Great to see a 100% Grenache Blanc. Interesting pepper & spice notes for a white wine. Light beeswax, peach, pear, and golden delicious apple. Enough to be a crossover wine for California Chardonnay lovers. Creamy. Vanilla & peaches come out more on the finish.

Our Price: 14.57

Prieure Bourgogne Rouge 08

At the entrance of the sleepy village of Savigny les Beaune resides this lovely estate. A family affair, the vines and cellar are tended by Jean-Michel and his son Stephen, whilst Yvonne manages commerce. In their careful hands they are    excellent stewards of these beautiful parcels of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and a tiny bit of Aligote. This Bourgogne Pinot Noir is from a tiny 2 hectare plot just outside the Savigny appellation. It extols the virtues of pure Pinot fruit with captivating ripe perfume and soft silky balance.

Our Price: 14.97

Arroba Pinot Noir 08

Bright aromas of both fresh and tart red fruit including red raspberry, red cherry and even some cranberry surrounded by spice, earthy undertones, and vanilla toasted oak. A hint of anise also emerges as you explore the nose. Smooth on the initial attack, this dry medium-to-full bodied wine then presents a textured tangy and spice feeling that starts at the tip of the tongue and lingers past the mid-palate. Softly textured tannins, a touch of minerality and vibrant acidity frames the bright high toned red fruit. Rich, bright and tangy red fruit including the red raspberry, red cherry and cranberry found on the nose is framed by soft sweet and brown spice, earthy and forest undertones, toasted oak that shows a hint of vanilla. Medium to long in length, this wine lingers cleanly on the palate with its bright and fresh fruit fading as the spice, earth and mineral notes linger on for a few moments more.

Our Price: 16.97
