2010 Ganeta Txakolina DO Getariako Txakolina
From the grapes to the production of this Gañeta, the winemaker, Julian, and his wife are involved in every step...all by themselves! This 'spritzy' wine is as breathtaking as the ocean views from this vineyard. Intense aromas and very fruity. Exemplifies succulent citrus and tropical fruits. The wine is rich and round, with a long persistence in the palate. It has its own characteristic spritz with an intense finish. Two autochthonous varieties, Hondarrabi Zuri, which makes up 95% of the vines and Hondarrabi Beltza, which represents the remaining 5%, are trained on trellises and arbors to produce the grapes used to make Txakoli de Getaria. The grapes are harvested in early autumn, the result of careful planning to guarantee the exact balance of sugar and acidity, Gañeta Txakolina is one of the top producers of Getariako Txakolina. It is a family-owned winery and vineyard in an ideal location of the denomination. From outside the winery, one can observe the breathtaking views of the town Donostia - San Sebastian and relish the spectacular influence the sea has had on this vineyard. Julian Ostolaza runs the vineyard and winery with just his wife, and literally no one else! They are one of the few couples doing so. The tradition of making Txakolina in the province of Getaria has been passed on for generations, and he has been one of the few to retain the traditional techniques of winemaking. Their wine is made from the grape variety Hondarribi Zuri, which is only found in this region of the world. It is fermented in stainless steel and bottled with residual carbonic that gives the wine a characteristic acidity and spritz.

2010 Castillo de Jumilla Rosado 2010
Strawberry, red berry fruit. Juicy, spritzy. Clean, but fruit forward. Juicy acid. Nice weight & length. A good pick when we thought it was more expensive, even better at the cost we were able to get, passing along the savings... Made from 100% Monastrell (Mourvedre), this has a fresh bouquet of cut strawberries, garden herbs, and a hint of citrus, Flavors of ripe berry and cherry sail over the palate with a subtle undercurrent of light mineral and earth notes, before coming to a crisp and commendably dry finish. Because Monastrell has excellent varietal character, this rosado packs a lot of flavor.

2009 Seis Circles Tempranillo - Garnacha - Syrah
This red wine has been created from a unique blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Syrah grapes, harvested from age-old vines in high-altitude vineyards due south of the Pyrenees. Combined with a dry Mediterranean climate, long hours of sunshine, stony soils and a privileged location in northern Spain, all the essential ingredients have been found for wines full of character and quality. The result is an intensely fruity, smooth and full-bodied wine, typified by aromas of blackberries, blueberries and cassis, and with a slightly peppery finish. This wine is soft enough to be enjoyed on its own, but also makes an ideal accompaniment to red meat and other hearty food.
