2009 Spinelli Pinot Grigio 1.5 L
Abruzzo.
This well-priced Pinot Grigio from the Abruzzo region in central Italy offers loads of mature fruit, apricot and cantaloupe melon backed by a creamy, silky texture. There's note of butterscotch or yellow candy at the back. (WE). Dry, full-bodied, ripe pear aromas. Production Area - In the heart of the province of Chieti, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea. Hilly, with medium altitude of 230 metres above sea level, prevalently clay and limestone. Vinification and Aging - Short cold maceration of the crushed grapes, soft crushing and fermentation with controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Straw-yellow color. Typical aroma, well-fruited with floral notes and hints of melon and lemon. Fresh taste, pleasant and harmonic. Excellent with the cuisine based on fish, it matches well also with delicate meat-based dishes. Very good with hors d'oeuvres and as aperitif.

2009 Caruso Inzolia
Sicily. Inzolia is a white grape variety grown mainly in Sicily. It is also known as Anzonica. This Sicilian white is made entirely of the Inzolia (or Insolia) grape, and exhibits aromas of field flowers, gooseberry, and yellow plum. Light flavours of fresh apple, pear, and pleasing citrus brighten the palate, which culminates in a dry finish. A crisp, medium-bodied white with good length. Open this bottle up tonight alongside grilled trout with lemon and capers, or roasted pork with apple.

2009 Mormoraia Vernaccia di San Gimignano
Tuscany. Tenuta Mormoraia Vernaccia di San Gimigniano is aged on lees in stainless steel tanks, and then allowed to rest in bottle for at least one month prior to release. This intensely aromatic white displays notes of apple and rose petal, while the crisp, dry palate boasts bright flavors of almond, wild flowers, and grapefruit. True to type, the finish is subtly bitter. Enjoy as an aperitif or paired with seafood.
