Beaune-Greves 1er Cru - 58.27 - liqueur like concentration, leathery, acid, cherry skin, drying fruit tannins - same prep as Savigny. More. Glazer's.

Corton Grand Cru - Beautiful, so soft, lengthy, so elegant. Ripe cherry. Yes it is spendy, but that is Grand Cru for you. 118.77. Classic. Glazer's.

Pommard Clos des Epenots - 1er Cru - more new oak, concentrated, deep spicy black cherry. Chewy, powerful, massive, lengthy, manly. 93.97.

Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru - 4 barrels - cherry, ripe, rich, tasty goodness. Full, velvety, pretty. 99.97. Pre-sales will arrive in Nov 2011.

2006 Martin - Ulisse - Resta Martina Bianco

Verdeca, Bianco d'Alessano Blend. Nice and easy, with a mineral finish. Noticeably low acid. Saline/sea quality and rather light, with some noticeable flavor of apricot jam or candied apricots. "Martina is a white blend of 60% Verdeca and 40% Alessano White. It has an intense floral aroma reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc. Martina has fresh flavors of wildflower and banana in a soft and harmonious body. Soft acidic accents make it refreshing." Wine Enthusiast - "Here's a perky and refreshing white blend of Verdeca and Bianco d'Alessano from Puglia with clean notes of peach and nectarine backed by honey and dried grass. The wine is lean and thin in texture with a bright, crisp close."

2009 Martin - Ulisse - Mocavero Chardonnay 

"This is a fabulous example of single varietal Chardonnay from a warm climate area on the Salento peninsula. The cool breeze flows in from the Adriatic and keeps the acidity up in the fruit maintaining the freshness and balance. Aromas of peach, green fruit and citrus lead to an elegant palate cut by sappy acidity, excellent for fish dishes!" The harvest began one week later than in 2008 in order to give the grapes more time to mature. "The harvest this year is marche di leopardo," reported winemaker Francesco Mocavero of Mocavero Winery, "which means 'the spots of the leopard.' It is a local saying that means that there are some areas yielding interesting, good-quality grapes, and there are others that are not."

2005 DigiOr Lacryma Christi Rosso 

Fruit forward, dry, harmonious w cherry & plum, raspberry & strawberry, even chilled. Lacryma Christi means "tears of Christ" in Italian. Campanian legend holds that when Christ saw the Amalfi Coast he was so moved by its beauty that he shed tears. Everywhere those tears fell vines sprang forth from the Earth - vines that to this day produce the famed Lacryma Christi wines. Grown on the fertile slopes of Mt. Vesuvio, this wine is a blend of the Piedirosso and Aglianico grapes. Fruity but dry, the forward flavors are dominated by black cherry and plum. A unique strawberry flavor and strong acidity make this wine vibrant and unique. Tanzer - "Medium red. Expressive aromas of sour red cherry, strawberry and vanilla, with an intensely volcanic lava/mineral presence Tangy and bright on the palate, showing lovely sweet ripeness to the red berry fruit. Youthfully aggressive on the sleek, compact finish."

2005 Mocavero Negroamaro 

The farm, built in 1700 as the trappist monastery of nuns, enjoys an enviable location; it is surrounded by a hilly landscape of live trees and is part of the historical and cultural Consortium of "One Hundred Farms" of Crispiano. One of the two principal grapes of Puglia. A beautiful wine in the glass, displaying a deep red color. Aroma and forward flavors offer hints of violet and black fruits. Vibrant acidity with balanced tannins and berry flavors round out this Southern Italian delight. Spicy, juicy, round tannins, red fruit of strawberries, dry, youthful on the palate. Wine Enthusiast - "Gritty and raw with jammy fruit flavors, this Nergoamaro is very representative of the overripe, sweet style of Southern Italy. Aromas include hickory smoke, root beer, tobacco, leather and black pepper."
