2009 Bisol Crede 09
Veneto, Italy.....The wine's name, Crede, refers to clayey terrains with subsoils of marine sandstone situated in the hills where the Prosecco, Verdiso and Pinot Bianco vines do not suffer from drought in critical periods. The grapes develop a notable wealth of noble acids, aromas and fruitiness. Scents of wildflowers that are appropriately Intense and fresh and an emerging and agreeable note of fruitiness. As in the bouquet, there are fruity hints of apples and pears and their harmony is completed by a rich and refined sapidity. "Bisol (2009) Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Crede from Bisol is a beautifully focused, vibrant Prosecco laced with ripe pears, citrus and flowers. Though a touch on the minerally side, the Crede is a reminder of just how delicious Prosecco can be. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2013." RP-90pts.

2008 Abazzia di Novacella Kerner
Alto Adige (Italy) - Abbazia di Novacella is the northernmost winery in Italy, lying right at the foot of the Dolomites. A hybrid out of Riesling and Trollinger, Kerner yields a delicately perfumed but medium-bodied wine of great finesse with elegant fruit flavors and stony, mineral notes. A lavish bouquet of peaches, honeysuckles, and orange blossoms emanates from this richly textured, sophisticated Kerner from the region of Alto Adige in northern Italy. Intensely deep, with pure stone fruit expression, and the elegant structure of a great Viognier from the Northern Rhone. A top-notch example of this lesser known yet fabulous grape variety. Fresh, intense and aromatic bouquet, based on herbal aromas and recalls of yellow citrus fruits. Taste is intense too, with good balance between a strong presence of alcohol and a subtle and sharp mineral layer, which characterizes a medium-to-long finishing.

2008 Cascina Bruni Barbera Villa Lisa
Barbera is a red wine variety, originally from Italy, which is best known as the second-most important Piedmontese variety after Nebbiolo. The wines made of this grape are mainly the everyday drinking wines of the region. The main appellations producing Barbera are Asti and Alba. Aroma of raspberries and cedar. Clean palate of sour raspberries and spice, heat shows up on the lingering finish. Good with spicy foods, solid drinking flavor all the way through. From a small vineyard of limited production with an age of over 35 years the vines grow facing south-east on the Costabella hill in the Serralunga d'alba province. An intense ruby-red Barbera is produced that becomes garnet red with age, this fabulous color being a true indication of great extraction. Mouth filling succulent super ripe fruit flavors are balanced with gentle spice and a hint of sweet creaminess from small oak barrels, good combination with most red meats.
