Oregon Whites

2009 Left Coast Cellars "The Orchards" Pinot Gris

A classic Oregon Gris that boasts lively fruit and balanced acidity, a true crowd pleaser. Highly aromatic, and vibrant from start to finish, it begins its seduction with enticing aromas: quince, kiwi, Meyer lemon, and lime. On the palate, it simply explodes with flavor - Lemongrass, white peach, and quince, soft subtle minerality. Add to this graceful repertoire a polished, wonderfully crisp finish that hints of fresh ginger, kiwi, and lime. This racy little number flirts with just a hint of sweetness, and alluring notes of tropical fruits and flowers. 1,100 cases produced. 88 points, Wine Spectator  - "Fresh and vibrant, this offers juicy pear and grapefruit flavors on a smooth texture. Drink now." Stainless Steel, 13.5%, 6 months, sur lees, Orchard Flats & Heights vineyard blocks. Originally planted in apples by the settlers of Holmes Gap, this area was also the earlier home of pear and cherry orchards. The grey clay and drought-ridden soil conditions of this block lend a fresh fruitiness and ripeness to our Pinot Gris.

2007 Amity Dry Gewürztraminer

The nose had strong aromas of stone, lychee, and pear. There is also a little spice, citrus, and floral notes at the end. The palate is viscous, with lots of citrus and flint. It also has spice and lychee, and some floral notes on the finish. 92 Points - Wine Enthusiast- "Exceptionally concentrated, unctuous and oily, this reveals the floral/spicy character of the grape in all its glory. It's a complex wine that just keeps on going, with jasmine, lemon polish, citrus and more fleshing out the flavors." This wine smells and tastes like a traditional Alsatian Dry Gewürztraminer with aromas of lime, flint, lychee, pear and spice. On the palate the wine exhibits flavors of lime zest and lychee that leads to a spicy finish.

California Reds

2009 Michael Pozzan Winery Dante Cabernet Sauvignon Rsv

The Dante Wine Collection was inspired by Michael Pozzan's travels through the Tuscan countryside and is named after Michael and Mary Ann's eldest son, Michael Dante Pozzan. This wine have a black Currant color with an aromas of fruit and chocolate. Nice Structure and well balanced. The Dante Reserve Cabernet is a real smooth operator; ripe and easy on the palate; fresh, zippy finish. Rich and fleshy with wonderful cherry and smoky sage fruit upfront. Medium tannins with earthy mineral, dried berry and currant fruit that's full-bodied in the finish. For steaks and grilled foods. Classic, Black Currant, Fruit Forward, Chocolate, Nice Structure.

Our Price: 9.27

2008 Tarrica Petite Sirah

Deep ruby red. Rich and seductive with cola, cherry, nectarine and plum flavors enhanced with peppery spices and toasty oak notes. Full-bodied with round tannins and a lenghty finish. Tarrica Wine Cellars aged this Paso Robles Petite Sirah in a combination of American and French Oak barrels for 18 months. This versatile wine will compliment a wide range of foods from grilled hamburgers, duck, fried chicken, rack of lamb as well as mushrooms and hard cheeses. Petite Sirah is one of a group of grapes that took to a new home - in this case California - after moving from the relative obscurity enjoyed at its birthplace - France in this case - where it is called Duriff. While never particularly elegant nor subtle, Petite Sirah can produce large-scaled, intense wines with bright flavors of blue and plummy fruits, rich with earthy tannins.
