2007 Parcel 41 Merlot
90% Merlot, 7% Cabernet and 3% Malbec - 17 months in oak, a heartier version with ripe black cherry as the central theme. A serious red with an excellent upside: well-managed ripe, red fruit flavors; delicious finish. The name is derived from the original agriculture land assessor's plot number for the ranch in Napa Valley, California. Our limited production Merlot is enormously rich, ripe and concentrated showing layers of blackberry, currant and mocha. "The Parcel 41 Merlot exhibits a sweet nose of berries, chocolate, mocha and smoky oak. Deep, rich and chewy with loads of licorice and blackberry/currant fruit and its beautiful integration of acidity and tannin make it an excellent value that can be enjoyed for the next 7-8 years." They're at it again! The trio of Jim Gill, James Harder and Jim Regusci are intent on changing the way you think about Merlot. While Merlot is typically more difficult to grow than Cabernet Sauvignon, which is why the best Merlot's are often more expensive, Parcel 41 delivers exceptional value. The goal with Parcel 41 was to make a Merlot that is supple and elegant yet still has the structure, depth and richness you find in more expensive offerings. At a price of far far less than $20 per bottle, they have far exceeded their goal! Our Price: 16.57

2008 Plungerhead Zinfandel
The Plungerhead Zinfandel is a straight-forward red that simply goes right its target; jammy and penetrating on the palate. This Lodi Zinfandel has deep purple color with cocoa, vanilla, clove, and cherry pie aromas. Rich and sappy in the mouth with flavors of boysenberry preserves, cedar, dried raspberry, and coconut spice finishing with great depth from aging. Dark purple in color, the 2008 Lodi Zinfandel blend boasts brambly aromas of dried blueberry, black currants, shitake mushroom, and molasses with hints of cardamom and nutmeg spice. This Zinfandel blend then erupts in your mouth with raspberry liquor, Dutch cocoa powder, blackberry cobbler, cinnamon, and cedar with hints of rosemary and roasted Poblano chilies. The wine lingers on your palate with the combination of fruit, spice, and oak adding to its full bodied nature and mouth filling tannins. Then on the finish, flavors develop into mocha latte, toasted marshmallow, sweetened cranberry, white pepper, and deep roasted French oak.
