If the earth
is only 6,000
years old, then
how can we see
light from stars
that are millions of light years away?

Einstein's scientifically accepted Theory of Relativity shows that time is relative to gravity and speed. Time simply varies depending on the amount of mass, acceleration and gravity. Therefore, any knowledgeable scientist will admit that in the extra-terrestrial spaces, creation light could have traveled at unfathomable speeds. In the Biblical model,  Adam and Eve, as well as the trees, plants and animals, were created with the appearance of age. Even though they were only a few minutes old, they looked and acted like full-grown adults. Therefore scripture supports God simply preforming another miracle. If He could create the earth in 6 days, He certainly could create a light beam from the stars to earth!
"It is I who made the earth, and created man
upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My
hands, and I ordained all their host." Is. 45:12
"He stretches out the north over empty space,
and hangs the earth on nothing. Job 26:7
Don't buy the lie!

Why God Hates CNN
 There are six things which the LORD hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: 2) A lying tongue

Freedom of the press reached a new low this week as CNN again republished the misleading pictures of American Rachel Corrie's 2003 death in Gaza, Israel.
Corrie did die a tragic death as someone who most likely believed that her demonstration would bring attention to Gaza. After Muslims in Gaza had fired some 5,000 deadly rockets at Israeli neighborhoods over the course of 10 years, the Jews finally said "enough" and took measures to displace the many launch sites, severely curtailing the number of launches.
[If nutty people in Ottawa, Canada were firing deadly rockets at Buffalo, NY, how long do you think that would last?]
The first published picture (above left) shows Corrie standing with a megaphone in front of a bulldozer. The second picture below that shows her lying on the ground as if the bulldozer had run over her, implying murder by the Israeli driver.
These pictures were easily discredited back in 2003. The two pictures are NOT in sequence, as CNN leads you to believe. A close look shows that the bulldozers are not the same. One has a smaller window and larger blade with dirt on it. After a protracted legal battle, Israeli courts recently ruled Corrie's death was an accident. Subsequent photos showed Corrie was crouching down, shielding her from the tank driver's view.
Continuing the lie, this week's CNN's video report publishes yet another picture of Corrie standing close
of to an Israeli bulldozer, claiming the driver would have  seen Corrie.
But this photo is a total fraud...a blatant lie!
Notice that Corrie's shadow is quite short, considering it was supposed to be 5 PM in the afternoon! And the bulldozer's shadow is in another direction! It is obvious that this picture was "photo-shopped" from two different pictures into one, presenting a false version of the events.
In other words, they are liars. And God hates liars.
Through the years, CNN has consistently skewed news in favor of Palestinians, and has not presented facts supporting Israel's side of the conflict. Ted Turner, founder of CNN, has even gone so far as to call Israel "terrorists."*
The Bible says those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed (Gen 12:3). CNN may be reaping what they've sown as their network viewership is continuing to drop below FOX, MSNBC and even its sister network, HLN.
This is just one more proof that discernment is critical in our day. That's why deception is one of our many topical points in our Steeling the Mind Bible Conferences.

 The Radical Homosexual Agenda
The Democratic Convention this week has openly been called a "watershed event" for homosexuals. Really?
Never before have we witnessed such a large number of openly homosexual participants--three members of Congress and more than 8% of the delegates! They are definitely "out of the closet."
But rather than a watershed moment, it's more like an admission of guilt as they thumb their noses at our Lord and Savior. Let's be perfectly frank...any individual taking a pro-homosexual stance does so in opposition to the God of the universe.
"You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female;
it is an abomination." Lev. 18:22
To make matters worse, homosexuals are doing everything possible to make their wickedly Satanic and sinful acts to not only be approved and protected, but also are working furiously behind the scenes to impose their lifestyle on everyone else.
Whether it's your Christian business (think "Chick-Fil-A"),  daycare, schools, colleges, churches or government, their radical agenda, if left unchecked, will directly affect not only each and every believer but also each and every American.
Therefore, we think it's time to deal directly with the filth and expose the truth of their deception. At our Steeling the Mind conference in a few weeks we are directly taking on the issue. Pray for us!!
Just to be clear- you, me, and every one of us are all sinners.... some saved by the grace of God. And, quite frankly, except by God's grace, we too may have become entangled in this unholy mire. So we are exposing and taking a stand against the sin, not the sinner. We pray that the blood of Jesus Christ saves them from hell as He has saved us.
 But we can no longer be passive and continue to let this group, led by what Paul referred to in Ephesians 6 as the "world forces of darkness," target our children, businesses and churches for what they call "reform."

On September 13th, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is expected to announce the latest strategy to again artificially pump up the economy. He has been hinting at some type of QE3 injection for sometime. Consider what he said at a recent speech in Jackson Hole, WY:
"...the Federal Reserve will provide additional
policy accommodation as needed to promote a stronger economic recovery and sustained improvement in labor-market conditions in a context of price stability."
Fed Reserve Presidents Eric Rosengen and John Williams spelled out what "additional policy accommodation" means as they went on to explain that the Fed will print about $50 billion per month of new money until they reach their target levels.
Europe is also nervous. Spain's unemployment rate has just hit another high- 25%! Yet inflation in Spain just about doubled from 1.8% in June to 2.7% in August.
To combat this, the ECU just granted the European  Central Bank unlimited and unchecked power over all banking licenses. That's virtual government control over all banking transactions. They know they have to act, act big and act soon....or risk economic calamity. So they too are expected to "prime the pumps" with cash injections (inflation).
Three years ago, we began a yearly Compass Financial Forum looking at the state of our country's finances, the potential problems developing and alternative investments to consider.
Those who heeded the advice at the time have done well financially and after an expected pull-back, it again appears the powers that be will again devalue the dollar through massive money printing.
Don't keep all your eggs in one basket! That tidbit of wisdom comes from this Bible verse:
Divide your portion to seven, or even to eight, for
you do not know what misfortune may occur on
the earth. Eccl. 11:2
