WPI, MassMEDIC Partner to Offer New Regulatory Training Program for Employees of Medical Device Companies
WPI and MassMEDIC have partnered for a new Medical Device Certificate program to help people working in or with the medical device industry expand their skills and stay current with evolving best-practices and federal regulations. This program is based on survey results that identified the critical skill sets necessary for workforce growth and development in this industry. From this survey, we have identified five areas of study critical for building a pipeline of employees to support the medical device cluster: regulatory affairs, clinical research, quality assurance, reimbursement and project management.
The new certificate program will begin on April 12 with a Certification in Regulatory Affairs offered in Waltham, Massachusetts. This first course will introduce students to the laws, regulations, and policies that govern the medical device industry, including submission strategies and FDA expectations. The course will concentrate on both domestic and international regulatory concepts.
For more information on the program please visit http://cpe.wpi.edu/medicaldevice.html or contact Amanda Keighley by email maurer@wpi.edu or phone 508.831.4179.
