Dear (Contact First Name),
Launch time at Oakcliff is where winter work meets the water and good things happen. Excitement is running high as our Shields are splashing by Friday and we might try a test sail on Saturday, weather pending. We're calling all supporters and Acorns to 'come on down' in weeks to come, lend a hand and be part of a successful start-of-the-season lift-off! |

| Support your Oakcliff Ficker Cup Team |
Oakcliff Acorn Jeff McFarlane, Sapling Mike "Koko" Komar and Nearly Mighty Oak Andrew Wills spend Wednesday practicing on the Long Beach waters with Oakcliff Supporters Mike Tolsma, Mike Quaglio and Kyra Goldsmith, planning their attack on the Ficker Cup. Andrew brought a special jacket for Koko to wear while racing and all team members are ready for action. If they win, it will mean an extra week in the California sun as the Ficker Cup winner gets to sail the Congressional Cup, and for the coveted crimson blazer. GO OAKCLIFF!

| Where in the World is Dawn? |
| | Oakcliff Acorns Class of '22 |
'Tho March is only a few weeks old, Dawn has covered a lot of ground this month. She opened by coaching a Farr 40 Team out of San Francisco for the Heineken Regatta in St. Maarten. Back in Oyster Bay for one day, she then moved on to Michigan to cover the spectrum of Oakcliff supporters and future Acorns with a presentation to the junior sailors of DRYA, followed by a presentation and discussion on "Saving Sailing" with all of the DRYA clubs, hosted by her home club of North Star Sail Club. The following day was spent with the potential Acorns of 2022 at Defer Elementary. A Gotham City Sailing Association speech in NYC as well as speaking at the Greenwich Sail and Power Squadron kept her busy this week and she's off Sunday night for St. Barts to be the tactician aboard Helios, a beautiful Perni Navi out of New York.
