Umpires, Race Committee and Youth Sailors
We have a US SAILING Umpire Workshop July 9 & 10 for anyone interested in becoming an umpire and getting certified. This also dovetails into the Youth Clinic so you get hands-on experience immediately: You can register here
Youth (16-22) there are two opportunities to jump into match racing this month. Both the July 9-11 clinic and the July 23-25 Clinegatta will be great events that will help you across the board. There is no better way to improve your sailing skills than with one on one competition. Dave Perry will be imparting years and years of wisdom (makes him sound old but he is still fun :-)) And this experience might even help you get into your college sailing team where their sloop championships are now sailed in a match race format. Race Committee volunteers we can use your help for all of the events above, specifically July 10-11, July 24-25 and July 30-August 1st for the Oakcliff Invitational Grade 3 Match Race.
Final note: did anyone loose a Volvo key outside of the Oakcliff Base? It was turned in.
