 | MHS Academic Decathlon-Bulldog Strong! |
The Academic Decathlon® is a ten-event scholastic competition for teams of high school students. Each high school enters a team of nine students: 3 "A" or Honor students, 3 "B" or Scholastic students, and 3 "C" or Varsity students. The theme for the 2010-2011 Academic Decathlon season is "The Great Depression."
The MHS Acadeca Team recently competed against schools in a preparatory competition in Lubbock. The MHS Aca Deca Dawgs won the Superquiz with an OUTSTANDING 35 points!

The MHS Aca Deca Dawgs are Coached by Mr. Mark Teel, Mrs. Sara Gail Cranford and Mrs. Sydney Tuffly.
|
| Bulldog Strong is now Army Strong! |
Each week, TexasFootball.com and the U.S. Army join together to select one team from every classification in high school football that demonstrated the qualities exhibited within the Army - those include leadership, commitment to excellence and a desire to make a difference as a member of a team.
The U.S. Army will present the MHS Bulldogs with this award at the community pep rally held Friday, November 19, 5:30 at Memorial Stadium.
|
 | Bulldogs for a Day! |
Honorary Bulldogs for the 11-12 pep rally were former NFL and Dallas Cowboy Greats-Jay Novacek, Charles Haley and Rayfield Wright. The three presented the District trophy to the MHS Bulldogs for District Championship and to the MHS Lady Dawg Volleyball team for District and Bi-District Championships.
The MHS Bulldogs went on to defeat Arlington Bowie at Jones Stadium. Next on the road to State is El Paso El Dorado, Saturday, 12:00 at Grande Stadium.
