Dual-Credit/Early Admissions Enrollment Process
Everything is done ONLINE
NOTE: Registration Deadline is September 3
Enrollment in more than 2 courses requires permissions from the Vice President of Student Services First time student (start at #1)
Returning student (start at #3)
1. Complete Online the Apply Texas Application (www.applytexas.org)
ˇNote: Takes 24-48 hours for receipt of application. Upon receipt, MC Admissions Office will send an acceptance notification via email that will include Student ID, PIN, Online instructions to enroll in course(s).
2. Submit one of the following test scores to MC Admissions Office at the Scharbauer Student Center:
TAKS, ACT, SAT, PSAT, PLAN
ˇThese scores are used to determine if you meet placement requirements. You should have received these scores by mail from the high school, or you may contact the HS Counselor to get a copy.
If scores meet requirements (verified by MC Admissions only), go to step number 3 below.
ˇIf scores are not high enough, additional placement testing is required prior to enrollment. Contact theTesting Center at 685-4504 for information regarding the COMPASS or THEA test. For more information,see http://www.midland.edu/admissions/dualcredit/
3. Complete the Parent/Student Agreement Form and submit it to the MC Admissions Office in-person at the Admissions Office in the Scharbauer Student Center.
4. Enroll in college courses at MC
Dual Credit: After receiving your high school schedule, enroll online HERE using Campus Connect or in person at the Scharbauer Student Center. Your high school teacher should advise the correct college course. Be sure to select the correct MHS teacher. Note: You will need your MC Student ID number and PIN to enroll online. Midland College can help with this if you were one of the students that registered with MC when they came last spring to enroll (if you have lost that number from spring).
ˇ Early Admissions: Submit the completed Early Admissions Approval/Registration Form to the Counseling Office to enroll, or fax the completed form to 432.685.6401.
5. Pay
ˇOnline payment: Log on to Campus Connect. Select the "Student Information" heading and then"Review/PayAccount".
ˇSet up an interest-free, automatic payment plan online. Go to Campus Connect and select FACTS.
ˇPay in person at the Scharbauer Student Center.
