Welcome to Midland High School
All student schedules will be distributed in advisory classes
on August 23, 2010-the first day of school. All students will report to an advisory class at 8:40 am to receive fall class schedules.
Seniors who have requested waivers for the school year must report to advisory at 8:40 am on August 23 in order to receive a fall class schedule.
Advisory classes are posted on the doors to each building. Most advisory classes are in the West Wing (new building). |

Schedule change forms will be available on August 23. In order for a schedule change to be considered, all schedule change requests must be turned in to the MHS front office by
4:00 pm on Friday, August 27, 2010. Schedule changes are limited to classes that are not already full.
In many cases, students schedules will reflect their second or third choice for electives. This is due to graduation requirements with senior graduation being the highest priority. No schedule changes will be made that negatively effect class size.
Counselors will be available in the trophy room every day this week during the entire lunch period. Students are limited to the lunch period to meet with counselors the first week, in order to prevent loss of instructional time. |

Gradespeed ParentConnection is a secure web site that interacts with the district's electronic grade reporting system and allows parents to obtain information about their student daily performance in school. The goal for the ParentConnection is to create a better partnership between parents and teachers. Parents can use this feature to email, teachers, view current grades and view attendance.
