Greetings!

The MHS Bulldog Family is saddened by the loss of one of our own.  Coach Don Goode passed away on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the age of 54.  Coach Goode touched the lives of many students. This was evident by the overwhelming number of young folks that showed their respect for Coach Goode and support for the family by attending the services.  Seeing our many students lining the sanctuary is just another example of why am extremely proud to work as their Principal at Midland High School.  It gave me an added perspective on what it means to be a Midland High School Bulldog.

The True Gentleman

The true gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man aware of his poverty, the obscure man aware of his obscurity, or any man if his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue is safe.
