Opening Night Movie Announced!
The festival opens with the most promising of French cinema
A directorial debut for Alix Delaporte, Angèle et Tony has taken the French cinema community by storm with both leading actors, Clotilde Hesme (Angèle) and Gregory Gadebois (Tony) winning France's most coveted national film award on February 24, 2012, the Césars, for "most promising actress and actor" (meilleur espoir feminin et masculin), making Angèle et Tony, a NY Premiere, "the perfect choice as the Opening Night film for the festival," according to Focus on French Cinema's founder, Catherine Lamairesse.
