"With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.""
Eleanor Roosevelt
Greetings!

Hello Dance Fanatic!  I hope this email finds you healthy, happy and in good spirits!  After an especially physically challenging dance-tastic week and weekend, I am feeling a quite sore all over.  But despite my physical pain, it makes me happy because it makes me feel strong. And it feels good to be strong.

Many of you know that QCDQ has launched a new class, called JamStrong, which is specifically designed to push your muscles to the next level.  Right now the class is offered in Matthews on Tuesday at 6:30, and we hope to get other areas started soon!  So stay tuned!  In the meantime, don't think you can't get stronger from doing the moves in our other classes.  Squating lower, reaching higher & making bigger and more controlled movements will certainly increase your muscle strength too!!

Hope to see you in class soon with new strength!!!

Sincerely,
ang

Calendar & Schedule Changes
Please note that there are some class schedule changes for August.  You may print the schedule for your convenience, but always remember that it is subject to change and that the web is the most up to date.

Also, we are quickly outgrowing some of our current class locations!  This is a good problem to have, but that doesn't make it anymore comfortable for you in the process while we search for other venues that are close by and available.  If you have any knowledge of a good possible relocation point for some our locations that seem to be getting too small for us, please shoot us an email with any information and/or contacts that you have. If it turns out that your lead brings us to a new and improved location, you will get an UL class card in return.

Opinion Poll
For the past 2 years at HGRC, our program has been moved to the cafeteria during basketball season.  We have been given the opportunity to remain in the gym for the 4 month season (Nov-Feb), but if we would like to do so, we would have to change the class time to either 6-7 pm or 7-8 pm. Or we could just keep class at 6:30 and move to cafeteria.

In your opinion, what do you think is the best option for Zumba at HGRC during basketball season?

National Dance Day Recap-
Saturday, July 31, 2010
Queen City Dancing Queen totally rocked out National Dance Day!  We had 3 bangin' events in the morning, including a JamStrong Premiere, a Supersized Dance Impact clasa & a Salsa Saturday Zumba class. Then in the afternoon, we learned the NappyTab Dance Day routine with Jessica Holmen, guest instructor and then had a dripping wet Hip Hop Master Class with Erica Butler and Angie Acosta.  Thank you to everyone that participated and thanks to everyone that donated to Fitness for Everyone.  With QCDQ matching your donations, we raised over $300 for the program!
