Greetings!

I hope you're well and your taxes are in the mail. It is a great time of the year with Easter on the way and spring finally in full swing. Ruth and I are working on lots of new exciting projects for TYJ. Never a dull moment at the office so stay tuned.

Mother's Day, which comes the first full weekend in May, gives us an ideal occasion to honor our Moms, whether we're still blessed to have her here on earth or even if she has passed on. Our Moms are incredible with their multitasking abilities and unconditional love. Of course, what we appreciate most about them is that they brought us into this life.

Have you ever noticed how our roles change over time? From birth to our teen years--and sometimes beyond--they care for us constantly. Then we find our independence and take care of ourselves while they do the same. Years later we kids find ourselves becoming parents to our parents. The circle of life is fascinating.

Moms are one the greatest gift in our lives, and I feel especially blessed to have a wonderful, loving Mom. I hope the same is true for you.

~Tenneva Jordan

"There is an instinct in a woman to love most her own child - and an instinct to make any child who needs her love, her own." ~Robert Brault

"I miss thee, my Mother!  Thy image is still the deepest impressed on my heart." ~Eliza Cook

Letters Sharing the Journey

Letter from Emily, a new friend of Trust Your Journey:

Hi,

My senior year of high school it felt like my whole world fell apart. My whole life people had told me I would go on to do great things and for the longest time I was confident I would, too. But when I lost my best friend, who I was connected to at the hip, and my parents got divorced my foundation and happiness crumbled. I exhausted all the energy I had left trying, to no avail, make the ones I loved the most happy. An impossible task really. Somehow I did continue with my original plan to go to college but only for a year. I got very little out of it because I had very little to put in. But now I find myself in a much better place and day by day I am restoring my self confidence. I've worked in beautiful McCall, ID for a year now and just enjoying life and fostering self awareness. This Saturday I head off on a journey to an orphanage in Thailand, which I embark on with a curious eye and an open heart.

Thank you for helping me to Trust My Journey,

Emily
