Impact Jiu Jitsu Wins 2012 Sub League Open
Congratulations to all the Impact members who competed at the Sub League Open on January 21, 2012. We were proud to have all of you representing Team Impact so well.
In total, Impact competitors (pictured above) brought home nine first place wins, 13 second place medals and 11 third place medals. As a team Impact achieved 47 submissions. Out of the 71 teams competing, Impact Jiu Jitsu earned 100 team points to win first place overall.

This classic submission event follows Sub League's unique rules. Matches end in a win, lose, or draw, and there are no points, just submissions. Athletes must qualify to compete for bragging rights in the June 2 Championship by placing first through fifth in one or both of the two Qualifier events.

Impact's Journey Newson was awarded with his blue belt on Saturday, January 25. This comes after just over two years of Jiu Jitsu and MMA training, and two first place wins at the Sub League Open (Men's White Belt and Men's No-Gi Intermediate)! |
